After serving her strongest performance to date at the ‘Billboard Music Awards’ two nights ago, ‘Last Chance’ belle Nicki Minaj arrived in NYC to begin shooting her first big screen movie, ‘The Other Woman’.
Snapped making her way in and out of her trailer, the Grammy nominated MC- who holds the record for being the fastest selling Female MC after Lauryn Hill– was joined by long time friend Safaree Samuels and co-star Cameron Diaz as she shot scenes for the 20th Century Fox production, which also stars Kate Upton and Lady GaGa‘s alleged boyfriend, Taylor Kinney.

With the bulk of ‘Roman Reloaded’s performances bordering on the uninspired, it was great to see Minaj execute a performance worthy of her star power the other night. From the staging, seemingly improvised choreography to her pitch perfect vocal and reworked production, her ‘Billboard Music Award‘ set is the standard all Nicki performances should be held up against from here on out.
Here’s hoping album #3 sees her up her game on all fronts (performances and promo included) and score sales akin to the 3.8 million ‘Pink Friday’ has sold across the globe thus far.
