UK Charts: Ray J’s ‘I Hit It First’ Rises 46 Spots In One Week

Published: Monday 6th May 2013 by David

It would appear Ray J has a hit on his hands.

Indeed, after releasing the song to mixed reviews last month, the entertainer has seen his new single ‘I Hit It First’ make its way higher and higher up the UK singles chart with every passing week.

Chart news below…

After spending last week at #76 on the nation’s Urban tally, the song soared a mind blowing 46 spots in a single week this week- helped in part by the online release of its telling music video.

Selling more copies in the last seven days than Beyonce‘s ‘Single Ladies‘ and Nicki Minaj‘s ‘Starships’, the jam now occupies a Top 40 spot less than 4 weeks after hitting Urban shores, and- if moving up by half as many spots as it did this week- will secure itself a Top Twenty position next week.

Interesting…considering the star is yet to physically promote the single in the country or launched a live performance to help it along.

By the looks of things, it’s the momentum generated by its release online that can account for its British success. A momentum, he’ll need to regenerate to ensure the album that follows fares just as well.

    Good for Kim!

She finally got a hit song, sure it’s a diss song about her being a ho but we all know homegirl is cool with whoring herself out for money and attention.

As for Ray J he should just do a whole “Trapped in The Closet” series except go up to every famous dude who split her cheeks, there are like 15 of them.

Good for him. Honestly…the song ain’t bad. I’ve heard worse joints top the charts. The song isn’t lying. if Kanye would of opened the doors for his pregnant women and didn’t act like a pregnant woman himself to the paps this song might not had a leg to stand on. Right on Brandy baby brother.
