Fine China was a decent song, he didnt promote it well. the song should have lived on its own before the video came out, but he had the video released the same day. then he never lived up to the song bc he did not deliver the song well live. now he has 2 more songs out as singles, and neither are taking off. what he needs to do is go away and be missed. why release multiple songs and albums and ppl arent taking to it? not saying to give up, but dont sit there and put 1000 songs and get 1 or 3 hits out of 5 or 6 songs and small sales?

Chris has always made premium R&B, his music has always been decent to great.

To think around 7 or 8 years ago Chris was on his way to replacing JT and usher and now he is struggling while still releasing quality music, while others with more positive public approval are slaying with mediocre s***.

After three flop albums in a row I’m surprised he’s still signed and still gets promo and funds. Wasn’t Fine China performed at the Billboard Awards AND BET Awards? Not to mention de ent airplay. It flopped because it didn’t have the sales to boost it up the charts, meaning no one cares about him anymore. We don’t need Chris, we have Bieber now sadly. I like S** You Up song more then i like the other one. I think he might do ok also.
CB was doing great during Fame era, his album is near platinum now- no other R & B artist sold that much only Beyonce and Usher. Alicia keys and Mary J was close. CB went downhil after that because he started promoting his relationship with Karrueche and Rihanna and brought his friends into the picture. His relationships and Kid red and friends is what hurt CB. He took the attention off his music and his comeback and focus on his personal life. Plus all the drama associated with his name since last year turned off his fans, because it was hard to defend him-when he stayed around trouble. Even though I am 98% sure most of his Drama with Frank-Drake and others were all PR to promote this bad boy image he was going for, I guess he has realize that his fans want the old CB, not the Bad boy Cb. I love her-Rihanna, but I think the bad boy image was inspire by her- because that is what she wanted. CB destroy his looks which was a part of his image. I don’t know what was going through this man head, but he tried the promote that bad boy image because he wanted to do rap songs. I think the Fame era CB needs to comeback. I supported all his albums and I will continuing supporting him.
@Zania I agree with you the whole getting tatted up like a rapper and having this bad boy image ruined it for him. Had he have a more clean cut image he would be marketable as an artist. Because now a days record companies only want artists that can get endorsements, magazine covers etc. The good thing Chris has for him is that he’s not in a 360 deal and he has a loyal fanbase.
