As a collective, Destiny’s Child are one of the most successful groups of all-time. Moreover, though, eight years since their split, each of the group’s members have gone on to achieve solo success that has served to strengthen the DC “brand”.
Continuing the trajectory in the here and now are Michelle Williams and LeToya Luckett, both of who we caught up with this week at Debra Lee’s Pre-BET Awards Gala 2013. Watch above as Williams dishes on her new Urban inspirational project (led by new single ‘If We Had Your Eyes’), while Luckett talks joining the cast of hit VH1 show ‘Single Ladies’. LeToya getting those TV cheques with all these programmes she’s featured in. Music may have taking a backseat for a while but glad she she working on it and hopefully its get that great promo the 1st album got.

Michelle does look good and healthy. She scares me sometimes cause she can look a little too thin at times but she looks vibrant here. Can’t wait for that album! Mary Mary’s “The Sound” is still my favorite top urban gospel album, maybe hers will change that 🙂
The Sound is a great album but I really wanted more songs or at least one or two more that sounds dedicated like “The Sound” and “Boom” rather than the other dance 3 that were all electronic and sounded quite similar. The second half of the album is also great. Do you like “I Trust You”, the bonus track?
My fave of theirs is still the “Incredible” album. It’s just 70 minutes of great diversity and they haven’t topped it since.
Still not feeling this Gospel direction of Chelle. Just confused by her general message of World then Church. Toya doesn’t seem to really want it and she NEVER communicates with her fans!!!
I LOVE Michelle. I love all of DC3. Chelle is super nice and i’m happy things are looking up for her. I’d love to see her on TV and in movies acting, she’s actually pretty good. I can identify w/ her on her weight. When your naturally thin like us it is VERY hard putting on and maintaining any weight you gain, so you have to exercise to build up muscle. She’s like 5’9, so she has to try harder than myself who’s much shorter lol
Please this flops should think of making a mark in the industry instead of still holding to the success of dc. Lol u guys are happy about their 1.8mill when bey alone is worth half a billion doller. Bey dominated them because she is smarter and more talented than all the other dc members

LeToya is the ONLY DC member besides Bey to have a #1 album (two to be exact). Both of her albums were hot, but Lady Love was a classic! Toya is a hustler! She’s still getting those DC royalty checks, her solo checks, checks from her boutiques, checks from The Preachers Kid, The Wayans Show, Single Ladies and the show that shes hosting on Centric! Grind girl and get that money! I love Michelle, not too fond of her music, but she can blow!

both of em are doing their things LETOYA is on her grind and I wish her wack ass record label would release her music do her some justice just for sitting on there uhhhhh!!!! And Michelle always seems to be on it just they don’t give her proper promo.
And on the positive side Michelle is doing her thing lately and Letoya is on her grind, both of their music is great its different from Bey’s and Kel’s so they have their own lanes. Cant wait for not only the records but the performances too…
DC is the only group other than The Beatles and New Edition to have most of the members to have careers after the group. Name another female group that the backup and ex singers went off and had solo success.

Yes,the were..Each of them had solo top 10 hits…I like how they were marketed.5 different girls,all with different personalities.It was very rare to see them dressed the same way just as it was difficult to tell who was their lead singer (Scary or Ginger?)
