September 3rd may mark the release of Tamar Braxton‘s new studio album, ‘Love & War’, but it seems her far more seasoned sister Toni is on course to scoring a new chart win of her very own.

In its first week of release, Braxton’s new single ‘Hurt You‘ (a collaborative effort with Babyface) speeds to #17 on Billboard’s Adult R&B airplay chart, marking the singer’s 23rd appearance on the chart and Baby’s 21st.
Reaching an audience of 2.2 million radio listeners in its launch week, the number enjoyed airplay every hour on the hour on Adult charts on August 19th, months before the December 3rd release of the pair’s new album ‘Love, Marriage, Divorce’, the follow up to her 2010 effort ‘Pulse’.
To date, Braxton can boast of six solo albums. The first of which, ‘Toni Braxton‘ has now been certified 8x Platinum in the US for shipments of 8 million units- enjoying a US peak position of #1 upon its July 13th 1993 release.

@Tina Jones ; The only reason that these albums ” flopped” is because she was diagnosed with Lupus and was told by her doctor that it wasn’t safe for her to perform. She feels better now and thinks that she is strong enough to tour again , this is just one of many hits to come from Miss Toni Braxton 🙂

Yes Tina I STAN for someone with common sense! DWTS is in one location, promoting an album is traveling to various places and very hard on someone with lupus and blood clot . Toni has nothing to prove, been there done that and still doing. True talents cannot be suppressed dear, it does not matter how hard you try with your negativity.
but her vegas residency was in one place and she quit that…….waiting for next excuse.
Tina, Toni had to quit the vegas show because she did not know she had Lupus and was performing 6 nights a week, running her body down, and had a massive heart attack. Was told by doctors she would NEVER be alble to perform live again. She has since not been able to promote her work which is one of the reasons she wanted to retire. She has not been able to tour and their are times when her doctors will not allow her on an airplane. She is under the care of doctors who are treating her with steroids. From one human being to another I just think your comment is shameful and not positive or uplifting, or accurate in any way shape or form.

Toni was on every health show and network taking about Lupus and autism, you really need to get with the times.
