Miley Cyrus may be the definitive talking point of Sunday night’s VMAs, however the ladies of Danity Kane also made headlines aplenty with news of their reunion.
Dawn, Aubrey, Aundrea, and Shannon sent fans into a frenzy after announcing their comeback effort ‘Rage’ at the Pop culture extravaganza.
Beyond the single reveal, the ladies have remained relatively coy on the details surrounding their project (which will almost certainly be packaged with a reality show). They did, however, spill morsels of information to Billboard as they arrived on the red carpet at the MTV staple.

While we’re amped to hear this new “Rockier” sound, we hope the ladies don’t abandon the brand of Urban-Pop that made them “matter” beyond the Making The Band. Because there’s a reason why the masses are so revved up for their return, reasons such as ‘Showstopper’, ‘Sucka For Love’, ‘Lights Out’, ‘Damaged’, and ‘Ride For You’.
In any case, we’ll be watching this project with vested interest.

Ever since Danity Kane formed she has always been about SELF – why else would she suddenly change her name to ‘D.Woods’ in the 3rd season of MTB, and promote herself as a solo artist whilst she was in the group.
The fact that shes apparently got so many solo projects going on that no-one actually has any evidence of, baffles me 😐 Last time I checked Dawn put out 3 solo albums, a mixtape, as well as several singles and feature-songs while still havin the time to reunite with her DK members + didn’t Aubrey just drop an EP three weeks ago.
What also baffles me is why she is supposedly shouting out Danity Kane on instagram but managed to hashtag her flopping-aint-nobody-heard-or-even-checking-for single title all over their picture in red. And den she still had the nerve to ask her followers to look out for her single on the post.

YES!! This is what i was saying… Dawn and Aubrey are “busy with projectS (plural)'” but didn’t snub there noise at brining something back together that made them famous and that MILLIONS of people loved. AND SHANNON has country stuff out too. So i feel like thats D.Woods smiley cover excuse, there is something else there.
She not only let DK down, let let the Fans of DK down…. and i’m sorry but i don’t think anyone is going to forgive her for it, especially with that wack goldmine video. HA… man… said. I’m gonna miss her melody voice on DK.

By ghetto you mean urban. She was the urban one of the group and her voice will be missed. Don’t forget there were only 3 singers in that group, the other blonds were just eye candy. And D is thick as hell, funny how they made her seem fat on the show. Dawn has a great voice as well, but she’s more of a unique soulful voice, D had the R&B part down the best, but like you said, their going Pop, so D woods wouldn’t fit in. But who to say that DK will even work without a Tv show? Why would Woods go back to a group that she didn’t even get paid?
For the fans… she could of even used DK to remind people who she is and continue to do her thing… just like Aubrey and Dawn and most likely Shannon, cause Shannon has country album out and country fan base.

I checked it out.. i wanted to know why she turned down DK.. what was so important. I check out Goldmine video last week…. HOT MESS and the song isn’t good either. =/ disappointed. Dawn and Aubrey popped off with better solo stuff than that.

Danity Kane won’t change their style too much, they’re just adding some edge to it. It won’t be so cookie cutter as it has been previously. They will have to keep a sound that is familiar to their fans that inevitable. I love them and Im going to love whatever they drop so I hey … Im ready

I agree with the above statement that she began promoting herself as a solo act while still apart of the group. If my DK Fans take a walk down memory lane, there was an interview once where she stated they were all solo artist brought together for the group. She said that and the other girls looked at her like WTF!!! I truely believe she was the desease that tore them apart. She got in Aubrey’s head and Aubrey began to make poor choices. Because there was a reason that we didnt know of that Diddy fired her ass after he fired Aubrey. Which I think was done to scare Aubrey more so than to dissolve the group.
Wanita was the one he wanted gone, she was the one he gave most of the hell to. Not Aubrey.
But hats off to D.Woods. I never understand GROUP MEMBERS who decide they’re BIGGER THAN THE GROUP. When every time someone mentions your name they say formerly of or of… then u haven’t outgrown the group. DAWN OF EN VOGUE SHOULD TAKE NOTE. Aubrey has grown up so I welcome her back with open arms, but if Wanita felt that her presence would do more harm than good, then Im glad she chose not to be apart. although I do like D woods, I’m not suprised she’s not joining. I remember after the breakup she was interviewed and asked if there were any fights btw team members and she answered with “I’m a lot bigger than the other girls so I don’t have that problem” or something stupid like that.
