As Hip Hop continues to ‘deal’ with the drama that is Kendrick Lamar‘s KONY claim, fans of the genre will be pleased to learn of good news today.
The kind of news, that involves a collaborative EP crafted by Elijah Blake and ‘Paper Planes’ purveyor, Diplo.
Responsible for the hit above, Diplo will join Blake to craft ‘Bijoux 23′, the follow up EP to the latter’s 2012 release, ‘Bijoux 22‘.
Set to be executive produced by NO I.D, ‘23′ will precede the release of Elijah’s debut album, ‘Songs About Melody‘ which is set to drop via Island Def Jam in the coming months, also believed to feature Diplo– whom he joined to craft Usher’s ‘Climax’.
Figured we should have some fun in between “Bijoux 22” and “Songs About Melody” – Bijoux 23 ‘BridgeGap’

As one of the only ‘newbies’ whose streaming numbers live up to their hype, we’re stoked that Elijah’s given himself more time to roll out ‘Melody‘, no doubt using ’23’ to secure his standing on his genre’s territory.
Joining Rihanna in becoming the apple of Roc Nation‘s eye, the numbers pulled in by ’22’ (over 1 million streams/downloads to be exact) see him prove that the interest in his work is very real, making him the right campaign away from turning those streams into paid sales.
Can he do it? Only time will tell.
Until then, join us as we vibe out to the tracks below…
