President Barack Obama has singled out Reality TV mogul Kim Kardashian and Rapper Kanye West in a new interview this month, criticising the part they play in endorsing a culture of ‘perceived success’.

During a visit to an Amazon warehouse in Tennessee, the Harvard graduate gave an interview to Kindle Singles, in which he said the following:
“The American dream involved some pretty basic stuff — a good job where you felt some security, a good education … People felt if they worked hard they could get there.
I don’t think people went around saying to themselves, ‘I need to have a 10,000-square-foot house’ … I think there has also been a shift in culture.
We weren’t exposed to the things we didn’t have in the same way that kids these days are. There was not that window into the lifestyles of the rich and famous.
Kids weren’t monitoring every day what Kim Kardashian was wearing or where Kanye West was going on vacation and thinking that somehow that was the mark of success.”
Obama’s accurate remark comes six years after Ms.Kardashian rose to notoriety, following the release of a sex tape featuring ‘I Hit It First‘ performer Ray J, used to catapult the star and her family to international notoriety- by way of the Ryan Seacrest produced show, ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians‘.
The President’s remark also comes after the ex girlfriend of Kim’s ex husband Kris Humphries wowed the world, when she claimed Humphries had told her that Kardashian‘s mother- Kris Jenner– had orchestrated the aforementioned sex tape- as is alleged below…
