Leaving Robin’s ‘Blurred Lines’ to nest at #2 for another week, ‘Roar’ fended off competition from the likes of Jay Z‘s “Holy Grail” (featuring Justin Timberlake), Drake‘s ‘Hold On, We’re Going Home’ (#10), and Lana Del Rey‘s newest number ‘Summertime Sadness’ (#6).
Two of the season’s most anticipated numbers, Gaga’s ‘Applause’ and Eminem‘s ‘Berzerk’, are finding their ways down the charts (despite strong starts). Blurred Lines is absolutely killing it – that song came out in the spring (crazy). Lorde and Avicii in the top ten is a nice sight! The more I hear “Roar”, the more I like it and I am glad it’s on top. Applause is okay but it’s not going to be on top, because the verses are just too weird and the voice she puts on isn’t easy on the listener’s ears.
