While his relationship with Beyonce has gone a long way to elevate his refined persona, it appears there are some unable to overlook Jay Z“s alleged criminal past. One of these, being “Love More” performer Chris Brown.
What he had to say on Hov”s former life?
His words below…
In reference to an incidence in 1999 which saw Jay allegedly stab record producer Lance “Un” Rivera, Chris told JET Magazine:
“No disrespect, because I’m a fan, but nobody brings up the fact that Jay Z stabbed somebody and sold drugs. He gets a pass.”
His remarks come as he readies the release of his new studio album “X”, and after he shared his thoughts on racism in the USA, revealing that he relates to murdered teen Trayvon Martin. He explained:
“I identify with Trayvon 100 percent as far as living in 2013 and still dealing with blatant racism. This generation is so used to racism that it”s normal; we don”t care. We aren”t on drugs or catching AIDS, but they still look at us as n—as.”
