Selena is on her 4th album, it would be embarrassing for her not to be booking bigger stages than Ariana. In terms of debut albums, Ariana’s did better than all of them except Miley.

I’m not a hater, in fact I appreciate a solid vocal. But Ariana’s praise is a little overboard and is a testament to the lackluster voices in pop music right now. I am a fan of her and I picked up her album- but her voice is solid, and not bad. She actually sounds A LOT like Ashanti, and I am not even joking. Listen to her mid-voice and belt, and you will see it is more in the vein of Ashanti and not Mariah. When she starts to hit her whistle notes that is when the MC comparisons start, but Vision of Love was in a whole other league and Mariah’s voice was more dynamic and powerful and wasn’t as regular as Araian’s. her voice is pleasant, but she is no MC. Kelly Clarkson, Pink, are the better voices in POP music if you ask me, and I can name many RnB singers that would slay her. She’s cute and has time to develop her talent, but you look at Mariah at 19-20 and that is a musical prodigy.
If that’s how she feels then Katy should ask Ariana to vocal coach her, because Katy has one of the ugliest voices in music…next to Rihanna.
