Oh Lil Kim.
An icon she may be, but her career of late tells an altogether different story.
Remember the saying “fool me once, you’re a fool. Fool me twice, I’m a fool”? Well, clearly Kimberly doesn’t. For, after pushing back her ‘Hard Core 2K13’ mixtape from its promised Halloween release today, the femcee is once again gearing up to associate with two dreaded words…Black Friday.
Details after the jump…
As many will recall, 2011 brought with it the release of the rapper’s tragic mixtape – aptly titled ‘Black Friday’. Unleashed at the height of Kim’s beef with fellow femcee Nicki Minaj, most blame the set for delivering the 39-year-old’s career the most damaging of blows. Especially upon her claims that the hit-free collection sold 113,000 copies in 28 hours on Paypal – this despite the online service having no such measuring system in place. At all.
Still, clearly undeterred by the embarrassment, the Brooklyn native has announced that her newest mixtape – a proposed sequel to her breakthrough studio album of the same name – will arrive on November 29th. This year’s actual Black Friday.
According to the star’s manager Big Fendi, the hold up is because the material will be rolled out via a specially crafted app that isn’t yet ready.
Taking to Instagram to elaborate, Fendi also revealed that a new song and video are due within the next 48 hours:

Being the fair and unbiased outlet we are, we’ll hold the fort on addressing the messiness of this all. At least until hearing the material and seeing the visuals.
