Britney Spears Pushes ‘Perfume’ Release Forward / Will Debut Single Tomorrow

Published: Saturday 2nd Nov 2013 by Sam

As the gift-giving season draws nearer, Britney Spears is getting into the spirit early.

For, after initially promising fans new single ‘Perfume’ on November 5th, it has been confirmed that the ballad will instead arrive…tomorrow!

Details after the jump…

According to E! Online, the hotly anticipated cut will be premiered on Facebook.

Speaking on what the masses can expect from the track, which serves as the second to be lifted from new album ‘Britney Jean’, the singer said:

“‘Perfume’ is incredibly special to me because it hits close to home, and I think the story is relatable to everyone. Everyone’s been through an insecure moment in a relationship that’s left them vulnerable and I think this song captures that.”

The single’s iTunes impact date, next Tuesday, remains unchanged.

With ‘Work Bitch’ showing extreme signs of fatigue, ‘Perfume’s arrival is right on time. Here’s hoping it delivers, though, because the success of its parent album quite literally depends on it.

Indeed, with Britney being more promo-resistant than ever, it’ll have to be her material alone that carries this project. A sad state of affairs for an artist who at one-time was renown for being able to blaze the stage, rendering whatever song she was performing a hit. Still, it’s a state of affairs her Team are content with.

Anyway…are you excited to unwrap ‘Perfume’?

Randomness: Ouch at Britney leap-frogging Mariah Carey‘s big Facebook reveal for ‘The Art Of Letting Go’ (due November 11th).

Wait, you could’t be referencing a review written by a second-rate publication and an even worse music critic.

One who has sent multiple tweets to Perez Hilton of all people.

Let’s wait until the REAL music critics give their opinions shall we?

        The Examiner?! LOL!

      • Rosie November 2, 2013

Sis I hate Flopga too but even I know that The Examiner is not credible. Anyone can post on there.

why people always need to talk about what they don’t like, and tryin’ to crash everybody else except the ones they love. just love britney, talk in good about britney and stop comparing everybody else, if you don’t like the others, well good for you, but shut up cause there’s more than a million out there who loves other artists and can appreciate more than ONE. you’re not special becaue you give your advice, and your advice’s not worth s***

  2. King November 2, 2013

It’s obvious her team is gonna treat this song as if it were the first single and there’s NO WAY her team would let her release a ballad unless it slays! And since Sia co-wrote it with Britney, then no doubt it’ll deliver. Bring it on, Britney Jean!

  3. Nilla Malik November 2, 2013

    Lady Gaga’s new album that leaked….sucks !!!!!!!!!!

  9. I Fingered My A*** Listening to Artpop November 2, 2013

Lady Gaga, whose 2011 Interscope set Born This Way bowed with 1.1m, gets an asterisk in the record book thanks to a 99-cent price point (see below); it’s sold 2.3m so far. In any case, Gaga’s forthcoming ARTPOP is likely to place her in the upper tier regardless of its suggested list—the current first-week forecast is 375k.

  10. Rosie November 2, 2013

OMG I just illegally downloaded ChartFlop and listened to it. It sucks ass, so terrible, it’s just noise. The reviews will be a kii.

    • KINGREEKO November 2, 2013

So pressed. just enjoy the music, not everything has to be about sales and evil name calling. Some of you f*** are so catty. Must be without a man.

    • DOSSOME November 2, 2013

You went through the trouble, you must be a fan

  11. Realest November 2, 2013

an avid cigarette smoker “singing” a ballad? wow so for the live rendition she will stand in one spot lip synching to the GODS!!!!!! well at least she doesnt have to “dance”. Britney Jean= The true definition of “living off of past (pre 2004) glory”

  12. DOSSOME November 2, 2013

And this post ends up being about the more relevant Gaga…Even citing the examiner as a credible source?chile…

  13. Artpop 2 out of 5* November 2, 2013

    • max November 3, 2013

it’s the best and you know it. maybe you’re not just evolved enough to understand the meaning of her art

  14. Bey Fan November 2, 2013

I dont wanna hear Brit singing a ballad…. I don’t care who wrote it. What happened to Work B****…. I didn’t like the song, but I thought it was doing good…

And I just downloaded Artpop…. i like the ratchet Jewels and Drugs…. the Dope song was a damn mess. I dont think its bad. Not greta, but not bad

  15. christinastherealtalent November 2, 2013

Now we all know why they’re doing this…coincidentally the day after it’s announced that Christina is releasing 2 new songs next week, 1 ballad and 1 uptempo, they pull this stunt.

    • NT November 2, 2013

You do know that Britney and Xtina are both RCA right? It’s simply a coincidence.

  16. Lovebird (Britney Jean – 03.12.13) November 2, 2013

I had a chance to stream Celine Dion’s album yesterday and all I have to say is NO THANKS.

The album is a mess, I only like Water and a flame, breakaway, save your soul, overjoyed and thankful; she can keep the rest.

    • JOHNVIDAL November 3, 2013

Anything true artists like Gaga or Celine release is better than your faves Britney, Katy Perry, Rihanna and Justin Beiber!!! lol I mean, the f****** nerve. Not to mention you are so pressed at other artists true greatness that you feel the need to troll every single post when it´s not about them. Do you think you have any credibility?
