Finally, there is some moving-and-shaking on the Billboard Hot 100!
After weeks of saying newcomer Lorde reign with her blockbuster debut single ‘Royals’, the single is abdicated from its Billboard throne by the unlikeliest of opponents – Miley Cyrus.
Thanks to a viral parody video, Cyrus reclaims her spot atop the singles chart with ‘Wrecking Ball’ – much to the dismay of Eminem and Rihanna fans who were sure the duo’s latest ‘Monster’ hit would scare Lorde from the #1 position. They needn’t worry, however. For, upon debut of its accompanying video, it may be gifted the much needed lift.
Elsewhere on the charts the likes of Kanye West, Pitbull, and One Direction have seen considerable gains and may also be in line to challenge Cyrus’ renewed reign. Unlike them, Cyrus’ former top two contenders – Katy Perry and Lady Gaga – are seeing their respective megahits ‘Roar’ and ‘Applause’ slide downward on charts with the latter finally losing its long-held grip on the top 10.

Wow the charts suck ass now. There’s only two decent songs in the entire top 20. And how is Bound 2 #12?

Katy and Gaga’s singles are so neck and neck on the charts this week.
I would also be mad if my fave’s album was already outside the top 10 in every country in its fourth week.
Well, at least Milye is being useful now lol Rihanna doesn´t need another undeserving #1. Both Katy and Gaga are doing ok with their several singles I guess.
Remember when not only album charts but also singles charts had true legendary artists on top and were really varied? Stunning pop ballads that we will always listen to, rock artists, etc.
I fail to realize how the streaming of a parody should be taken into account for singles charts though. This can´t get any worse.

But what happened to Gaga´s career though I mean she used to be the queen of pop but now that Miley Rihanna and Katy are on the charts they are killing her career damn.

The Grammy’s has become out of touch and needs an intervention, gone are the days when their methods for substantiating the careers of musicians and vocalist was a standard that everyone else tried to emulate, when you have persons like Mariah, Celine and Whitney (RIP) (each having six)having less Grammys than manufactured less talented entertainers like beyonce,alicia keys and new comer Adele having them in the teens like its cookies being given out to kids for good behaviour is deplorable. I have no respect for the Grammy’s nomination committee.
