Fergie‘s back!

Yes, eight years after rocking many a music loving world with ‘The Dutchess’, the ‘Velvet’ star has announced the birth of its follow up, doing so during an interview with ‘On Air With Ryan Seacrest.’

While saying little of its sound or release date, the star did confirm it would drop via Interscope Records and would precede the arrival of a brand spanking new ‘Black Eyed Peas’ project.

Watch below!

With the bulk of ‘today’s generation’ unaware of just how influential Gwen Stefani, Nelly Furtado and Fergie were in 2006, we can’t but celebrate the return of the’London Bridge’ belle!

With that being said, we do worry that a Will.i.am produced release may see her venture towards EDM territory. Unfortunate, considering how much the world would welcome a vocal driven Fergie album, filled to the brim with the cuts that boast the same genius as ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ and ‘Losing My Ground.’

  4. BEYHIVE_MINAJ January 6, 2014

I don’t think many people will be interested sicnr she is best known with the Black Eyed Peas. But I wish her all the best

  5. NT January 6, 2014

i loved her as a solo musician , i’ll be buying it.

TGJ U betta tell the youngsters how Nelly, Gwen and Fergie SLAYED THAT ERA! Although Fergie is the only one out of the three that hasn’t dropped an album since then. Looking forward to her new material. London Bridge and Glamorous are still the sh*t. I play those songs like they’ve been released n 2013!

  7. Career Ender January 6, 2014

I hope she doesn’t face the similar fate as Nelly and Gwen

I think she should learn to capitalise on Black Eyed Peas

  8. the truff honey January 6, 2014

    who???

  9. JOHNVIDAL January 6, 2014

I think it´s too late. Not even the Black Eyed Peas as a brand had success the last time they released an album. And all of Will.i.am or whatever his name is releases are being a disaster.
She had a nice debut solo album. But just that, nice. People like to exaggerate.

  10. CARMEN January 6, 2014

if will.i.am produces this album it’ll probably be the same as Britney Jean with the fate of The Spirit Indestructible

AS LONG AS YOU KEEP GAY.I.AM OFF OF THE ALBUM BY ALL MEANS, I’m here for it. Fergie’s style is just different, something no other pop chick in the game can emulate or come close to. Fergie KILLED it with The Dutchess. Hit after hit after hit

  12. Molly January 6, 2014

    it will flop.

  13. Bey Fan January 6, 2014

PLEASE don’t have will i.am producing tracks.

Im not taking anything away from him… but sometimes ppl need to break away… and come back refreshed. Will is stuck somewhere…

Fergie is good solo artist. I think she’ll do fine.

  14. ABC(the ORIGINAL) January 6, 2014

She’s in the same capsized boat as Nelly Furtado and Gwen Stefani/No Doubt. Flop.

  15. Antonio January 6, 2014

She’ll do fine. This album should have an alternative pop/rock/EDM sound but not too cliché and generic. Please Fergie, if you value your life, do NOT let will.i.am come anywhere near this album. Do not work with RedOne, Mike Will Made It, David Guetta, Max Martin, Dr. Luke or Rico Love. Toooooo many ppl work with them and the album would be repetitive.

  16. JER January 6, 2014

If she comes hard, it could slay. She messed up and it’ll be a Nelly Furtado momenT

  17. ENOUGH ONIKA (NEW & IMPROVED) January 6, 2014

I mean it, KEEP GENERIC.I.AM OFF OF THIS ALBUM FERGIE! He already sent Britney into retirement with Britney Flop Jean. A hot a*s mess…

  18. gio88 January 6, 2014

actually fergie was on fire with black eyed peas 2 years ago….so don’t come saying she is in the same situation of gwen stefani or nelly furtado, who anyway didn’t do actual “mainstream” albums…so…

  19. Mone January 6, 2014

    at –> fukken <– last!

  20. Theman January 6, 2014

FERGIE’s last effort with the Pea’s went platinum.. That is not a failure, as far as their brand is concerned. That album was also very rushed & should’ve really just been a rerelease. Having said that a platinum album is still a success, especially when u pair that with a few hits..

  21. csrpp January 6, 2014

    @BEYHIVE_MINAJ

Dont forget: Black Eyed Peas became famous when Fergie joined the group..

  22. FAF January 6, 2014

Yess I prayed for this! Can’t wait!

  23. FAF January 6, 2014

“All That I’ve Got” is still my shhh!

  24. MusicLover1 January 6, 2014

I am glad that Fergie is coming back. Fergie can work with any producer that she wants. Clumsy and Glamorous were that sh** back the day. Fergie can comeback with her album by this year and Will.am was last year. Will.am song that power was good.
