Months may separate the world from her third studio album, but that hasn’t stopped Nicki Minaj from frequenting many a chart by way of 2012’s ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ and the numerous Hip-Hop efforts she lent a verse to in 2013.
This year, it’s her take on PTAF‘s ‘Boss Ass B*tch’ that’s brought her good news in the last seven days, whipping the digital community into a sassy frenzy and boosting her stock on Billboard’s Social 50!
Good news below…
On the ‘Social 50‘, Billboard explains:
“A ranking of the most active artists on the world’s leading social networking sites. Artists’ popularity is determined by a formula blending their weekly additions of friends/fans/followers along with artist page views and weekly song plays, as measured by Next Big Sound.”
Thanks to her remix of the cut above, Minaj welcomed a rise in her audience size as members of the general public took to music sharing outlets to spin the cut and storm her social media accounts with ‘likes’, ‘follows’ and ‘friend requests’.
With this, the Rapper spent her 162nd week on the chart at #21, outperforming ‘American Idol’ sisters Mariah Carey (#28) and Jennifer Lopez (#42).
With this mind, we got to thinking…
Will album #3 match heights reached by 2010’s ‘Pink Friday’?
