For most musicians, a slot on the Grammy Awards performance bill is “the” ultimate career destination. Indeed, for many, it’s “the” dream.
However, according to new reports, that wasn’t enough to entice Justin Timberlake to perform at this year’s show.

According to Hits Daily Double, the Pop force was approached to perform at this Sunday’s spectacle, however the singer is said to have “declined”.
While no reason was offered, it was inferred that Timberlake turned down the gig due to the fact his comeback LP ‘The 20/20 Experience’ was shut out from many of the major categories at this ceremony. Select songs from the set received nominations, but again in none of the main categories.

Granted only those connected to the situation know what actually went down, we’d by lying if we said we were fussed either way. ’20/20′ was the epitome of smoke and mirrors (pardon the pun). A decent album? Sure. The flawless masterpiece the propaganda machine massaged into the minds of the masses? Not by a long shot. Same with most of theperformances he “booked” throughout the LP’s campaign. Always good, never great.
Still, one look at JT’s sales, certifications, and tour gross, and it’s clear he’s the one who has the last laugh. Whether deserved or not.
