I honestly can’t stand reading the comments on this site sometimes. Why are people so disrespectful and evil to one another on here? Why are people constantly calling these women out of their names? That first single was not the bizzness but she deserves another chance. The beyhive will understand my meaning better after that sh!t that was “run the world” came out in 2011.

I agree with those of you saying wait to see what else she has in store. The Rih duet is underwhelming but hey at least it is different. I am hoping for something better though. At least she is using the Voice to her advantage this season as Christina should do when she returns.
@Josh, her teaming with Rihanna was a biz move. Let’s be serious, that single does not stand a chance on the charts with Shakira alone, cos it’s so subpar for an artist of Shakira’s level. And she does not have the star power like some other artists in the US to push that kind of mediocre song up the charts . She knows Rihanna fans will buy the single (terrible or not) cos they ride or die with their fave, and will make it no 1 or at least top 5. Yeah, i’m not excited about her album too.
I hope she has a lot more singles and promo cause right about now no ones checking for that album.

WHAT? lololol Shakira a JLo wannabe? Shakira is a real artist while JLo is a f****** dancer. Let me begin with that. Secondly Shakira´s music career started before JLo´s. She was slaying charts in Latin America and even Latin charts in the uSA way before her. I remember, I didn´t like her music back then. But it was seriously good, better than what she has been cooking after starting a career in the English market. Shakira can dance, songwrite, have an own style and has a voice, it´s a very different voice so many people don´t like it, but she can sing, belt and everything, unlike JLo and the likes. Her career and catalogue is really big. Way bigger than JLo´s.

About Shakira´s album: she better have better things on it. I´m sure. She or her label did this just to get buzz, to put Rihanna there, but it´s probably one of the worst on the album (hopefully). It´s just that Rihanna couldn´t stand a chance on a better Shakira song. I think she just degraded herself so Rihanna could appear on a song next to her.

I honestly hope the rest of her album is nothing like that generic new single. Electronic/ dance music is fading out and latin dance music is stale these days. She needs to bring something new to the table if she wants it to sell well or if she wants quality music she should go back to her roots.
The Shakirih collab wasn’t even EDM. It’s a pop song with elements of rock & ska. With that being said, the song is forgettable. I’ve never been a Shakira fan. Her voice and music isn’t my cup of tea, but she is slaying in that pic!

@Rosegold, I didn’t say the new single was EDM. I said it was generic. Following that, I essentially said in general EDM music and Latin dance music isn’t well liked anymore. I stated this because Shakira has done both in the past so she might have incorporated those genres in her new album which would terrible.
