Her third studio album may be yet to nab a release date, but that hasn’t stopped Jennifer Hudson from doing what she can to secure the support music lovers everywhere today…even if by accident.
For, as to celebrate Valentine’s Day, the ‘Spotlight’ stunner made her way to LA’s Nokia Theatre to enjoy a sold out show put on by ‘Silk’ manufacturer Keith Sweat, doing so alongside partner David Otunga.
It was there, to her complete surprise, that Sweat pulled her on stage to perform the R&B smash hit ‘Nobody.’
Why we’re calling this one a must see?
You’ll see below!
Should the pair team up to rock a cut on Hudson’s forthcoming LP? We’d sure hope so!
That being said, we can’t wait to hear what said LP delivers and hope the next few months are spent sourcing material strong enough to hand Jennifer her strongest era to date!
For, with ‘I Can’t Describe‘ yet to impact the ‘Hot 100’ even well after its September 14th 2013 launch date, we worry the ‘upbeat’ route may not be the direction Jen should be heading in, and- with recent releases by Toni and Tamar Braxton in mind- may be missing out on a huge chunk of R&B’s Adult Contemporary pie if ‘Describe’s sound is indicative of the rest of the LP.
What we had in mind for our favourite ‘Dreamgirl’?
No one cares…..
Jen girl, this era is already starting off bad. What are you doing with promotion? Instead of trying to pill of this “s*** look” your ass needs to PROMOTE. Girl bye. That’s why Fantasia>>>>>>>you.
Keith Sweat always brings out special guests when he does concerts. I’ve always liked this song. It’s classic 90s R&B that i miss. She did an okay job, but Athena Cage would have done this song justice. I still listen to her song “Hey Hey Hey”. I believe this was at the Nokia Theatre for Valentines Day with Charlie Wilson. I was just there in December for Fresh Fest. It’s one of the best places to have concerts at. It’s right across the street from the Staples Center. It’s really nice in that area.
It was okay… only because when i read she teamed up with Keith i was expecting them to slay with Make it Last Forever.
Oh well…
“Surprise”? Pure promotion IMO 🙂
Jenifer is un-bothered. Her sales may not be be the highest..but she gets exposure more than most artist in the industry. If you take a look back you would notice that Jenifer practically performs at every major event there is..She is a well respected artist in the industry..
