Three years after cutting managerial ties with father Mathew Knowles, self-managed vocalist Beyonce has reportedly bid adieu to her general manager Faisal Durrani, as to assign more control to herself and husband Jay Z.

While her departure from ‘Music World’ saw her stand as the head of her own management team, Durrani was hired to serve as Carter’s general manager, aiding her in running entertainment/management company ‘Parkwood Entertainment.’
Now, despite the success the pair enjoyed with her latest studio album ‘Beyonce’ and the record-breaking ‘Mrs.Carter Show’ world tour, the Live Nation executive has been cut from her camp and- if reports published this morning are to be taken as gospel- been replaced with Jay Z.
The Daily Mail explains:
“…now Beyonce has also allegedly dismissed general manager Faisal so that she can gain even more independence with her husband, who plays an unofficial managerial role.
Jay has been heavily involved in Beyonce’s career for years, and was instrumental in organising the Mrs Carter Show World Tour.
“But he isn’t officially regarded as her manager – she really is independent.The insider added that the couple, who got married in 2008 and have a two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, want to put family life first.
“Now the couple have Blue, she wants to make sure her family come first at all times, especially as there’s talk of them adding to the brood.”
Beyonce doesn’t need anyone, except herself. She’s clearly a mastermind.

People thought she was lost without Mathew, all along she knew what she was doing. And he made one of the best decisions of her career releasing her album like that, she earned a lot of respect and made one of, if not her best body of work to date. Beyoncé sold out 40 shows out 59 shows. She charged more per ticket than the other girls. She still hasn’t performed at a stadium. If she can’t sell out Arenas, she obviously can’t sell out stadiums.
She’s the only artist that performed at the Grammy’s and didn’t sell more albums than her previous week.. She actually took a lost. Her single did much better, but the album sold less. #4 to #6 next week. Even Lorde, who people joked about her performance moved to #3 for her 6 month old album.

Another thing, I find it strange that rihanna has been in the industry about 9 years now, released 7 albums, went on 5 tours, but when you compare her networth to the rest of her music peers she comes up short. Beiber and Miley are worth over 150 mil, Gaga’s worth over 200 mil. rihanna and Katy perry’s neworh is around the 90 mil mark, but Katy’s only been on one tour and releases albums every 3 years. People want to talk about her not selling out all her dates when she had a 97.6% occupancy rate and was grossing almost $200,000 more per show than Rihanna(since they’re comparing). That 2.4% she didn’t sell out didn’t hurt her at all.She hadn’t released new music in THREE YEARS and was still able to do this. Only people considered legends are able to do this WITHOUT new music and even Madonna released albums before her last two tours. I was just watching a Kanye interview where he said he did the Yeezus album just so he could tour. Oh and Beyonce could have lowered her ticket prices and sold out more dates because I know quite a few people who didn’t go to this tour because they said the price for decent/good seats they got last time were to high this time around and she didn’t even have any new songs to perform.I bet they’re going if she comes back around to the states with the new album.
