Yesterday, fans of hit VH1 series ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ learned that cast member Benzino was in a critical condition after being shot at his mother’s funeral, weeks before the show returns to US screens.
Today, fresh-and undeniably shocking-details have emerged from the murder attempt, shedding light on the incident and the entertainer’s current medical state.

“According to sources cited by WHDH-TV 7News Boston, Benzino (real name: Raymond Scott) was shot at by his nephew, Gai Scott. Scott allegedly pulled up in his Bentley alongside Benzino’s Dodge SUV and fired multiple gunshots. Benzino was transported to a nearby hospital.
36-year-old Gai Scott was placed under arrest and charged with armed assault with intent to murder. He will be arraigned in Plymouth District Court on Mon., March 31.
Apparently, no one outside the funeral noticed something was wrong until the hearse reached the church and the priest noticed blood on it. According to WHDH, the family claims there had been tension between the two for some time.”
