As any of That Grape Juice‘s British readers will know, ‘Marks & Spencer‘ stands as one of the nation’s longest running and respected entities, just as integral to British culture as the good its supplies the world with every passing day.
So, one can only imagine how elated fans of Pop princess Rita Ora will be today, now that she has been announced as the latest ambassador, called on to represent the multinational retailer before the release of her new US debut!
Good news below…
Billed ‘The Leading Ladies‘ campaign, M&S’ latest venture sees them enlist some of the UK’s most influential women to showcase their seasonal designs. Alongside Rita in celebrating the companies’ legacy stands Brit-Pop icon Annie Lennox, the mother of murdered teenager Stephen Lawrence, Baroness Lawrence and supermodel Alek Wek, to name just three.
Marking the latest move made by Camp Rita to elevate her household name status, her lucrative arrangement with ‘Marks’ precedes her starring role in the film adaptation of ‘50 Shades of Grey’ and the unveiling of her US debut album, set for takeoff this year!
On the campaign, a spokesperson for the company explained:
“Our SS14 campaign is a celebration of style and accomplishment. These dynamic Leading Ladies represent the unique and diverse women of a modern Britain. They are united in their extraordinary achievements but confident in their differences. Marks & Spencer is a democratic brand which is relevant to women of all ages and strands of life; it is therefore natural for M&S to celebrate women in this way.”
