The ‘Baby I’ belter ups her edgy in an eye-catching new photoshoot in support of her hotly anticipated sophomore album (due this Summer).
Now 20, it appears the vocal powerhouse is keen to shed her ultra wholesome image and instead embrace a more risque look. Somewhat.
Explaining the shoot on Twitter, Grande told her 15 million followers:
been doing lots of experimental shoots lately for upcoming music, wanted to share some shots.. sorry for the late 60s timeline invasion haha
No need to apologize; she looks hot tamale. More importantly, though, the visuals have us even more excited for her new material.

Anyway, I knew they were going to do this. Same thing is happening to all of them. They make them so innocent and suddenly start conditioning their fan base by adding sexual references here and there and then boom. They are suddenly “sexier” than ever. Oh well. I just hope her career doesn’t go down the same route of those before her. (Britney, Xtina, Brandy, etc.) She has real talent and she looks beautiful.

You know on a serious note, I can’t believe anyone would still want to be famous after looking at these people and their secret (sometimes obvious) struggle. Money can’t get you everything.
I’m glad she’s changing up her style. I’m tired of hearing people complain about it instead of focusing on the music. I guess now people will talk about how s*** she’s getting. Sigh. These pictures aren’t even racy in anyway.
Ariana is a cute girl with obvious singing talent. One of the best young Pop vocalists to emerge in recent times. These images aren’t even racy AT ALL but a little spicier than what we’re accustomed to seeing. I know she got a lot of flack for her image with her last album. Remember that tragic first album cover for Yours Truly? I just hope the criticism isn’t forcing her making a contrived transition to a sexier image and therefore compromising her talent and what she stands for. If you think about it, the major Pop girls who went through such an image change – think Janet from ‘Rhythm Nation’ to ‘janet’ or Rihanna went ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’ seemed very natural and they owned it. Good luck Ariana!
@coolness says. Janet was 27 when she made that transformation and she spent the prior 8 years topping the charts. Even Mariah Carey waited until she was 27 to “evolve” (Butterfly album) and that was after 7 long years of success. One year out the gate and 20 y/o Ariana is already bending over like a s** kitten. This girl is in trouble.
@eric, Exactly my point! Those women you mentioned took their time and didn’t just grow older, they MATURED. If the focus is making Ariana into this little s** kitten after one album that was released not up to year ago, you’re right, some things may go awry.
She’s still boring.
She’s got a great voice, I see they’re trying to change up her style, but she’s still just…boring.. I’m sorry because she’s worked for it but sometimes outside these kid channels, these girls can’t make it in adult careers. It’s the same for Selina Gomez and Demi Lovato, that spark just isn’t there that makes someone who wasn’t originally a fan take notice.
I will junge this new transition once I hear the music.
So now she´s going for a sexier image. How predictable! I din´t think it was going to happen so soon though. Like she didn´t even have decent success before the change. “Butterfly” inspired era here we come…
I get what you mean. Although I actually it’s her label that wants her image like this now. They did this with Miley, Demi, Selena and virtually every other child star before her. But yeah I agree. It was a stupid move to s** her up this quick especially since the GP is not that familiar with her yet.
