After rocking the Atlanta music pool with their brand of finger-snapping R&B, girl group Havok Jones set their sights on a far bigger pond with the release of single ‘Where You At‘ today, now available to enjoy right here on That Grape Juice.Net!

Founded in 2012, 2014 will see the Southern belles make their way towards ground currently graced by the likes of ‘Lemonade‘ trio Danity Kane, doing so with Destiny’s Child, Xscape and SWV as their creative guides.

Do they have what it takes to make it on Pop’s global stage?

You tell us below…

Over-styling aside, Havok do have the potential to become quite the Urban force if armed with material that speaks to an audience far wider than the one ‘Where’ targets.

For, with numerous R&B collectives trying but failing to score relevancy outside of their domestic markets, we’re hoping Camp Jones have plans in place to mould the ladies into the kind of group just as welcome on ‘Good Morning America’ as they’d be on ‘106 & Park.’

For that to happen, their current style-albeit electric- would need a serious toning down to give the ‘contemporary girl next door’ effect, while the likes of Priscilla Renea, Eric Bellinger and Knucklehead may be worth calling in to forge a sound dripping with Hot 100-worthy “flava.”

So, let us know…

Are you into Havok?

So this made me remember the other ALL girl group, Cherish. I liked their first album and second one was cool. But girl groups only last for so long until someone wants to go solo or the connection just isn’t there. Song was cool. It is a grower.
