As reported, season seven of The Voice will welcome new coaches Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams to judging panel.

So as to give viewers a preview of what to expect, the duo took to the stage last night to perform Stefani’s 2004 smash ‘Hollaback Girl’ – which, of course, was produced by the ‘Happy’ hitmaker.

Watch the pair in action below…

Cute…in a festive nostalgic kind of way. That said, Ms. Stefani will have to serve up more if she’s to fully engage an altogether different audience than when she was last out — ten years ago.

Her voice remains as unique as ever and her overall proposition still “works’ (see: quirky blonde with dual Urban and skater appeal). However, we’re hoping she powers through the the “rust” and becomes more comfortable on stage. And, of course, delivers hot new material.

It was nice to see her perform after so long. It was a fun, laid back performance.
With that being said, Sam, chill out. It’s The Voice, not the Grammys.
She needs to serve more….to prove and sell what? She said she won’t be making anymore solo albums amd No Doubt are comfortable with their careers as of where they stand. All that extra-ness on behalf of young, unappreciative, sometimey “fans” needs to stop. She’s cleary not pressed at all.

Great performance she did says no more solo album but when pharell ask her if possible she said maybe as long their work on the project so who knows I love her both in the band and no doubt

What was the point of Pharrell being there again? It’s not like he said much, plus his voice is thinner than Rihanna’s Hairline. Elle aux elle

She appeared very comfortable on stage, however, those vocals were terrible. I’ve never cared for her voice, but instead liked her as a person, an artist. This song doesn’t really require much to sing, so I was a little thrown off by how bad she sounded. She is basically talking the song, but it was quite the struggle.

pharrell’s mickey mouse shirt made me think of xtina. wonder if that was on purpose since they have not seen fit to even mention her name or worse not even bothering to congratulate her on being an expectant mother. the voice is now getting crazy publicity now that christina’s gone even though ratings were massive when she was there. everything is always done to keep her from expanding her career. even tho they claim she was a witch diva she’s done nothing to bring on this sort of abuse.
