It may have been the most anticipated set at the Honda Centre-held show last night, but it would seem Nicki Minaj‘s set at ‘PowerHouse 2014‘ may be on course to being remembered for all the wrong reasons today.
For, after welcoming the likes of Sage The Gemini and Trey Songz heat up the stage, the show saw Minaj arrive with a ‘Training Day‘- inspired entrance, but succumb to what appeared to be faulty in-ears…seeing her unable to hear herself and perform a portion of the set on a delay.

Fortunately, even without the bells and whistles a number of her counterparts depend on to “kill it”, Minaj rescued her set with a fire and charisma that saw her audience captivated from start to finish, giving us all ample reason to anticipate the live shows set to aid new LP ‘The Pink Print.’
The lesson to be learned? Live skill will always trump all.
For, as her delivery of ‘Chi-Raq’ and the cuts that followed prove, little can stop this pint-sized Rap Queen from putting on a stellar show.

Barbie’s World so true, the mic was going out on other performers too. sometime you couldn’t hear anything,i was hoping they fix it before Nicki came out but it catch her too. but Nicki handled it like a boss and did her thing anyways, and the audience didn’t seem to care for the technical difficulties. they were in a frenzy from the start to finish.

Her songs can’t hold up two-three years later. It’s important to make classics and Nicki Minaj has none. It’s a shame she has to resort to performing PTAF’s song. This is horrible from a self-proclaimed Queen. She doesn’t even know the words to her own damn songs. Anytime, a rapper has to rely on Soulja Boy to save their show, it’s a shame. But, hey, she got fans.

The only thing proven last night was that Nicki’s a BEAST! If you don’t see the level of skill she has by now … something is wrong! I don’t even see how you can be that unfair to her unless you’re simply a hater. I have a lot of respect for talent.

I enjoyed her performance from start to finish, and the audience clearly felt the same way too.the ear piece didn’t stop Nicki from doing her thing, she did her thing and the audience didn’t give a damn about no earpiece. they just wanted Nicki to do her thing and she did do her thing, she killed everything in the building.

It had its moments. Got better towards the end. I liked the performance of boss ass b****, when she cut that loud playback.
But Nicki do proper sound checks moving forward cuz if she dont have the most mic issues. Stop using all that playback. Bring a band or just do fill ins for performances.
