I will say this, there are certain ppl that we as blacks do except in our company. I always felt like mainstream media wants us to accept what they only put out such as (Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake, Bieber, Adele, the lateAmy Winehouse, Iggy Azalea, etc). I feel we in the black community have embraced plenty of white artists like the Teena Marie, Jon B, Lisa Standfield, Simply Red, George Michael, Micheal McDonald, Josh Stone, Paul Wall, & even Robin Thicke. I feel like some of these artists have song soulful songs that we really like but it wasn’t good enough for their standards such as artist like Teena Marie or Jon B. The black community embraced Paul Wall, we were even saying this our new Eminem. Paul even married a sistah, I guess Em & his camp caught wind of it and Paul Wall just fell off the radar. We also embraced Robin Thicke before his hit song Blurred Lines because he was doing alot of r&b before than,had one of the hottest summer songs out last year, but they kept giving the awards to Justin Timberlake. I just like certain things are acceptable to their standards.
