As previously reported, Kelly Rowland has teamed up with drinks giant Pepsi for a brand new visual album.
Titled ‘Pepsi Beats Of The Beautiful Game’, the project celebrates the upcoming Brazil World Cup and sees a video accompany each track of the compilation – which also features contributions from the likes of Rita Ora and Janelle Monae.
Ms. Kelly’s effort, which premiered today, is aptly christened ‘The Game’ and will be paired with a video shot by iconic director Spike Lee.
Is the song itself any good? Take a listen below…
A vocally solid song, which is somewhat let down by a lyrically empty hook. Also, the production, while decent, doesn’t quite evoke the air of urgency or epic that an anthem-like smash is arguably supposed to have.
Still, with Kelly currently between projects, new material is always welcome.
