It’ll take more than a few thousand tweets to stop Robin Thicke, it would seem, braving a digital storm whipped up those unimpressed by his recent antics on and off stage.
Explained here, yesterday saw ‘VH1’ announce that they were to host a Q&A session with the star on ‘Twitter’ using the hashtag #AskThicke.
Unfortunately, the singer soon discovered that inviting members of the public to pick his brains might not have been the brightest of ideas, after being accused of endorsing rape culture with the single ‘Blurred Lines’ and doing the pelvic mamba with willing groupies…despite being married to actress Paula Patton.
Thicke’s response?
Read below…
Tweeting from ‘VH1′s official account, Thicke said in response to the digital dragging:
“I’m a big boy. I can handle it.”
Just what he was big enough to handle?
Your thoughts?
doubt he cares tbh. I think blurred lines got annoying after a while but no dragging online is gonna erase his success and wealth amassed in the last yr alone
I find it extremely annoying how judgmental people are. EVERYONE, f**** up in life. And non of then twitter peeps know him on a personal level. So he owes them squat. Another thing is Blurred lines is a great track, I can name dozens of other songs that “promote” worst s***.Hes a man, who f***** up with his wife, not anyone else, especially a bunch of trolls behind a computer. Paula, is a big girl who at the end of the will do what she wants with this situation.
It wouldn’t matter what anyone behind a computer thought if he wasn’t publicly embarrassing his wife for an entire year in their faces and seeking to SELL said story via this album, to those behind the computer. People care where their dollars go & have ALL the questions! He’s made it their business; other artists cryptically talk about their relationships all the time. He should just release it on iTunes, do his promo and hope for the best.
Love his music, seen him in concert, not paying for this album.
@FAF Exactly. At the end of the day, he still has the biggest song of the last year and a successful career, which is more than what a few twitter trolls will ever have in their pathetic little lives.
LOL THEY JUST MAD CUZ JUSTINE TIMBERFAKE WILL NEVER HAVE A HIT THAT BIG AS LONG AS HE LIVES LOL
Why would they be mad? S*** Back is a much bigger hit then Blurred Lines was. Not to mention the 20/20 Experience sold 3x as many copies as Robin’s album did. Robin will never pull off stadium tours like JT or see those album sales.
LOL TIMBERFAKE NEEDED JAY Z TO SELL THAT TOUR H0. AND A JHENE WHO-KO STAN SHOULDN’T BE TALKING ABOUT ANYBODYS SALES LOL
Robin has one hit. I guarantee you he will never have another smash, nor should he ever dream of being as successful or respected as JT, because that’s not gonna happen either.
LOL BOTH OF YOU H0S CAN HAVE SEVERAL. SEXYWACK WAS NOT BIGGER THAN BLURRED LINES. AND TIMBERBYTCH WILL NEVER HAVE A HIT AS BIG AS BLURRED LINES. NOW HUSH LOL.
HUH?! Granted, Blurred Lines is more successful than any JT single (in terms of sales) but Justin has a catalog of hits and albums that have eclipsed anything Robin’s put out. #facts. I don’t hate Robin at all. I think he’s talented and The Evolution of Robin Thicke is one of my fav albums but I doubt JT or his fans are pressed over one smash hit single that I doubt Robin will ever see again.
OMG I LOVE WHUT & LOL comments !!! YES MAM! I am a bit confused; where is this r***, cheating stuff come from? U all will make up anything, it is kinda pathetic!
I cant help but side eye him
