For, after rocking the BET Awards late last month, the Urban-Pop singer has just been announced as the latest name to join the list of performers at the MTV Video Music Awards 2014.

The network confirmed the ‘Confessions’ crooner and 5 Seconds Of Summer will join previously announced performer Ariana Grande on the bill for the August 24th extravaganza – which takes place live from The Forum in Los Angeles.
It goes without saying that the coveted spot will serve as quite the coup for the star’s upcoming new album, which serves as the follow-up to 2012’s ‘Looking 4 Myself’.

I’m glad Usher is getting back to performing again, hopefully his performance isn’t lazy like it was at the BET Awards. Give us high octane/unique choreo and strong live vocals… Prove why he’s the best male live performer of this generation. Would say Bruno but he’s still kinda new and JT isn’t on Usher’s level tbh. CB is still fairly new, 9 yrs in, but he’s just an Usher clone

Can’t believe I’m say this but I agree with you lol. It seems like every top musician from this generation has received an honor award but Usher. I still haven’t seen any male artist top him since he debuted. That’s in Talent and sales.

I really hope he steps up in terms of SINGING, after all that’s his chosen profession, right? I say this because I was not pleased with his recent BET ‘performance’… him basically talking through some of his greatest songs #appalling
