Naturally, the question turns to what the youngster has been named. And while some speculated it’d be a while before Xtina spilled, she’s made the announcement moments ago. The name after the jump…

A slightly more “Hollywood” name than that of six-year-old brother Max, but a great one nonetheless.

Congrats again to Xtina, Matt, and family.

Well actually it sounds like fancy name for a rusty Tin Roof.
Horrible name…but then again we are talking about HollyWierd where they compete for the strangest sounding names.

At first I was like “Summer is a cool name”, then Summer Rain and I was like “why do celebrities do this to their children?”

    Anyway congrats Xtina

Sunmer is a nice name. But the rain spoils it. Sounds chavvy.

    Lol what? Summer Rain?
This child will probably end up becoming a stripper with that name

    • Rih Rox August 18, 2014

I think she heard Summer times sadness.
LOL! I’d rather take that. 😉

      • iHeart August 18, 2014

Or from Carl Thomas song Summer Rain from his album Emotional.

Compared to other celebrity children names, this is very much tame. I mean Alicia Keys named her son Egypt, Gywenth Paltrow named her daughter Apple, Kim K named her daughter North, Beyoncé named her daughter Blue Ivory, Mariah Carey named her twins Maroccan and Monroe….need I go on? Lol Summer Rain to me is cute and girly and average compared to the others, but that’s just me.

    • Rih Rox August 18, 2014

I actually like Egypt:/ from Alicia, and Mariah names for her twins. Everything else sounds. ……. (O_o)

The part about the summer rain Rutler is disturbing.

      • iHeart August 18, 2014

How is Summer Rain disturbing? It’s only disturbing cause you’re thinking nasty thoughts lol. Her fiancé more then likely had a say in the name as well. Moroccan and Monroe aren’t terrible names by any means but they’re definitely far from norm (whatever that is). Egypt, though…idk that’s just really out there for me lol. But to honest I don’t think any celebrity has given their child a solid name that mean something profound.

How can you think MOROCCAN is ok. How can you name son after an adjective. I can understand Morocco to an extent but morroco? And I bet Alicia feels very proud about name her son after a war ridden country.

      • Yazmine August 18, 2014

        moroccan*

    • dotti August 18, 2014

both summer and rain are pretty cool individually. together they sound a bit contrived. however they’re still better than apple, finess (julia roberts son), maroccan, and blue ivy.

      • iHeart August 18, 2014

@Yazmine: I get what you’re saying, to name your child after an adjective is beyond the rules of grammar but hey to each their own and it’s not like the don’t have money to change it later down the road. I don’t have children so I don’t know the thought process that goes in to naming a child but I gather you want them have a name that sets them apart as an individual.

@Dotti: I forgot all about Julia Roberts sons name, that one too is just…….wow? Phinnaeus ’Finn’ Walter….isn’t there a show on Nickelodeon called Phinnaeus and Ferb or something like that? But luckily with Christina’s daughter Rain is a middle name so she has the option to go by either or….but again to each his own.

I was really hoping she would post a link to a new song, but that’s just me being selfish lol

  10. J.E August 18, 2014

Cute Hollywood Name. Now bring the music back.

  11. Yazmine August 18, 2014

Really corny and tacky but each to their own.
