It’s here.

Nicole Scherzinger‘s new single ‘On The Rocks’ hit the internet shores moments ago.

The track serves as the second single to be lifted from the Pop diva’s second studio album, which has been produced in its entirety by hitmakers The-Dream and Tricky Stewart.

Set for release later this year in Europe (and the US early next), the Sony Music LP has also yielded ‘Your Love’ – which peaked at #6 on the Official UK Singles Chart upon its release last month.

Will its follow-up fare better? Take a listen and let us know below…

Made it to 1:02 then cut it off. Nicole. Sweetie. Just no. No. No. I do not think this chick can sing at all but somehow it was tolerable when she was in PD. This is sad because the track itself itsnt that bad. The production value is great I just wish the dream was using this on someone else. But silver lining is this album won’t see the light of day in the US. Good luck to her in the UK. Which shouldn’t take much as they support a lot of non talented artists. (See Cheryl )

    Yay!!!

  3. Conor August 26, 2014

Couldn’t even finish the song – boring!

  4. CherylSoldierr August 26, 2014

I liked it. It’s radio friendly and much better than your love. I think she should work with other producers tho.

  5. CherylSoldierr August 26, 2014

She should’ve done a love me harder type ballad. With that production, it would’ve slayed.

  6. LB August 26, 2014

The song is very boring and tries to be a Sia written song. It is mostly like a bad roller coaster, the song is all over the place and is noisy, which is unfortunate considering the potential it had.

Lastly it sounds unfinished, like it need someone to add and remove some parts to make it magical, instead it falls short and becomes construction noise.

Good effort Nicole but not good enough.

    • CherylSoldierr August 26, 2014

I think she could’ve slayed with a love me harder/do what you want type of produced midtempo. She’s clinging to this generic pop that’s not selling.

    FLOP FLOP FLOP

This is actually a great song! It really is, but something is missing! The lyrics are pretty solid. The chorus has enough bite, but Nicole lacks the charm needed in the verses. She comes across dry or like she’s singing without feeling in those parts. Her singing actually had me picturing her smiling – when she shouldn’t be. This kind of song calls for dramatics and conviction (or at least a tone packing emotion). It’s probably a bit odd to state this, but the chorus would have been so crazy if it was done by Bey/Sia and the verses by Rihanna/Toni B. (it would have be given more punch). I’ll keep an eye on Nicole though, she’s still talented. She just didn’t get her hands on “the song” made for her yet.

Really tho Bey sia toni I get BUT rihanna? Smh

      • RoyalKev August 26, 2014

Lol. She has an icy tone that would work for the verses.

  9. Dev August 26, 2014

Some made it further than me! This song is not it, this album is gonna flop harder than Lea Michelle (another overhyped singer) I’m waiting for another Melody E.P or an album to slay this chick

First, they need to stop with all the auto tune. This girl can sing let her shine.
Next, she needs a completely new team. The songs they are giving her are so boring and the productions are so messy.
Finally, she should go a more urban route I think that suites her better and it would be way better than this pop trash.

There were a few good songs on Killer Love but everything in the past two years has been trash. Waiting for a career defying moment.

    • Dem Lessors August 26, 2014

I agree! But she can’t switch it around now, too many flops down the line. Her career defining moment was when she was with the Pussycat Dolls. Unless they get back together she ain’t ever getting a US hit single again.

    • NicoleFan May 14, 2016

I agree. It’s dream and tricky! They usually make magic but this song did take a while to grow on me, but it still could be better! Stop with all the auto-tune dream and tricky! They even auto-tuned Mariah Carey! Seriously! Just because dream needs auto-tune that doesn’t mean everybody else does! And they just aren’t giving her the “song” cause nobody in the music industry wants her to win cause she ain’t sold her soul. She needs to do her own thing and stop letting big name producers and song writers to do it all for her and because these industry people will keep f****** her over. She used to write some of her songs in 2007-09, why did she just let dream and tricky write all the songs on this album, she only wrote one song on this whole album with them, I love Nicole but come on girl, write your own songs please! You can tell that dream and tricky didn’t put in any effort with some of the productions on this album (first time), and the lazy lyrics, dream and tricky always write lazy lyrics but then the artist can ad to it and make it better and more complete!

  11. Dem Lessors August 26, 2014

I don’t know why I always have hope in this girl. This will for certain flop harder than Your Love. The only song I’ve ever liked of hers was ‘Right There’, and even that was a Rihp off! Beyond the point of embarrassing yourself now, just join broadway or something.

  12. UGH August 26, 2014

UM… NO! Try again. She looks GORGEOUS though in that single cover. Maybe the photographer can be her producer because he actually knows what he is doing.

  13. Britney Stan August 26, 2014

She needs to stop making music she’ll never win as a solo artist.

  14. Marin88 August 26, 2014

All you haters right there go better kill yourself!
She’s super talented, a real star and deserves much more attention.
The song is really awesome but your real problem is that if this song would have been sung be someone else (example: Beyonce, Rihanna, etc) you would be saying that this is a Number 1 hit. You are all pathetic and hypocrits.

Gooo Nicki! I TRUST ON YOU!
You killed it 🙂 GOOD LUCK BABY 😀

    • NicoleFan May 14, 2016

Yes. And if Nicole would’ve taken the chance to sing “we found love” rather than rihanna, it wouldn’t have been a number 1!

  15. Kyle August 26, 2014

I personally liked “Your Love” a lot better than this. Nothing about this song really stands out.

  16. Nick August 26, 2014

The song is nice. It’s not super catchy, I’m not sure it’s second single material (or single material at all).
The thing that bothers me the most is that on tracks like this, you gotta show off your vocals, do crazy adlibs and so on… Otherwise, it sounds flat.
I know sometimes she sounds off live but she can sang her ass off.
Go on YouTube you’ll hear for yourself, she has a great range and can belt. Listen to her live version of the theme song of the Phantom of the Opera… I was like wow I didn’t she could pull that off.
    She sounds best acoustic.
Too bad, with better vocals it could have been a nice album track or 3rd/4th single treatment. At this point in her career and to launch the sophomore album, she needs a catchy track and let people know she can SING.
