Janet Jackson has made it routine to duck and dive the spotlight when between projects. Yet, with a whopping six years having passed since the Pop queen released her last studio album, anticipation currently sits at fever pitch (and rising).
The singer’s current buzz has intensified in recent months following reports that she’s gearing up to unleash a new album in November.
Now, after teasing at a collaboration with the star last month, Balmain‘s creative force Olivier Rousteing is again touting a Jackson-related surprise.

Ambiguous seeming? Perhaps. However, it’s worth noting that reliable intel confirms that Janet is currently in Paris for Fashion Week – which kicks off today and ends October 1st.
And while we can barely contain our excitement, it appears we may have to do so for a few days more – as Balmain’s main presentation isn’t until Thursday (September 25th). Should she use the event to launch her musical return, it certainly would serve as a super unique vehicle to kick off a comeback.

Janet Jackson was a pop movement, a revolution in pop culture and an advancement in female pop artistry world over. Never has there ever been an artist that has revolutionized female pop music like Janet has since Tina Turner.

I am so excited for Janet Jackson. Madonna has spent the last 15 years trying to latch herself on to any current artist there is (Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Nicki Minaj to name a few). Outside of Hung Up, I honestly don’t remember Madonna’s last hit since maybe Take a Bow (yet I know there were a few after…. I don’t even remember one).

Never been a huge fan of Miss. Janet, but I know she has HITS & a pretty good discography. I wish her well. All of her peers are under 200k, so you can’t help but wish her well.
Janet is just the consummate artist. Her flair, artistry, vision and even unique mezzo soprano vocal range makes her one of a kind. What Janet means to Pop music is beyond words. RN will always be the most important Pop album ever imo! Janet’s so incredible because she has taken so many risks in her career. She’s probably the first Pop artist to marry great melodies with significant lyrics reflecting the times. There’s been so many RN imitations(the TVR album has them too). This is why she’s always the first person that comes to mind when I think of the word innovative. Everything from her album themes, to her showmanship on stage, to her unbelievable visuals made her special in ways that will forever make her a standout.
I believe we’re not given more than what we can handle and I must say that no other pop star would have been able to endure all of the ramifications of the SB incident. Sure, it’s been a big hit to her career, but none of her peers could afford to have experience such a misstep. It would have destroyed them all (if they were ridiculed on the level she was), but it didn’t take away from Janet’s relevancy. I don’t think anything could … not her fading from the public’s eye and certainly not the media. Out of all the great legends, Janet’s truly the one that remained closets to her peak days longest (in terms of ability). Janet’s always been in fighting form every time she pops back up! Janet’s exceptional and I’d be lying if I said that I witnessed this more than a single handful of times.
