New Song: Fergie – ‘L.A. Love’

Published: Sunday 28th Sep 2014 by Rashad

Is “the dutchess” ready to reign atop charts once more?  One listen to her newest single, ‘L.A. Love,’ may give us an answer.

For, nearly a decade after releasing her critically and commercially acclaimed solo debut album, Fergie returns with a global shout out of a tune produced by DJ Mustard.  Coming as the first official single from her long-awaited sophomore project, Fergie Ferg’s next release – due in 2015 – will also feature production from Mike Will Made It, Mustard, and more.

But, before we can get our hands on the album in full, we have been blessed with its lead single.  Tell us how you feel about it:

    shes a rapper now..?

    • musicMatters101 September 28, 2014

Ummmm. Where you been at, Fergie been rapping since about 2005.

I mean have you not heard her kick the verse on “Party People,” with Nelly.

Or what about on “Fergaclisious.” Even sorta on BEP songs like “Imma Be” and “My Humps.”

      SO VERSATILE.

  4. Late September 28, 2014

Meh…I’m on the fence about this one.
When I first heard it earlier (TGJ you guys are slipping, cuz I heard this song on another blog 4 hours before you guys posted it), I didn’t really like it at all.
After hearing it a 2nd time, it’s just ok. I wanted her to come back with something…harder.
Then again, when I first heard “London Bridge” I hated it, but it slowly grew on me.
Given the fact that so much time has passed since she did her solo cd (or any music for that matter, cuz the last song I remember from her was from the “Great Gatsby” soundtrack), I hope the material on the cd is larger than life, since she’s been able to live a lot in between albums.
Maybe it’ll grow on me, or maybe i’ll need to see the video before I love it.

    #Sorry honey

    • musicMatters101 September 29, 2014

Even as a fan pif the song and FERG, I agree!

  10. Mark111 September 28, 2014

I thought it was Cole Sore’s Crazy Stupid Song at first.

    • CherylSoldierr September 28, 2014

The one that you love? Death.

      • Mark111 September 28, 2014

  11. ENOUGH ONIKA (NEW & IMPROVED) September 28, 2014

Mmmm, I won’t write her off because of this single. Its just “ok” to me, but I know I’d get tired of this fast. I am curious to hear what else she has to offer, so the single won me over in that aspect…

  12. nt September 28, 2014

This would’ve been a cute summer song.

  13. blue September 28, 2014

been done before in more interesting and better ways. Its a fun album track though.

  14. Molly September 28, 2014

Its ok.. it’ll reach top 30 at best tho

  15. eric September 28, 2014

Good beat. I don’t like the rapping though.

  16. SMH September 28, 2014

I dunno, sounds too dated. The video will save it, hopefully.

  17. LIL’ KIM IS THE G.O.A.T. September 28, 2014

The real shade is that Fergie is a better rapper than Oflopka Garbaj.

This is hotter than anything that Oflopka has ever released.

    GO FERGIE!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Nicki Is Queen September 28, 2014

      what kind of delusion?

  18. Tina September 28, 2014

Isn’t she 50? Go away meth head and take your generic music with you.

  19. LB September 28, 2014

Uhhhmmm…NO….she can keep this one, no thank you.

  20. LB September 28, 2014

This song is a great filler track, not a single. Try again Fergie

  21. Belladonna1363 September 29, 2014

It’s cute. Not bad not the best but I like it.

  22. king B September 29, 2014

good song just not Comeback worthy but i can’t wait to hear for more songs cuz thw dutchess was a hit filled album

  23. gilbert September 29, 2014

i have always been a fan of Fergie. this lady is pure FIRE. not really feeling this song but i’m reallllyyyyy looking forward to her new album. FERGIE’S BACK BITCHEZ!

  24. Everyone’s A Critic September 29, 2014

We’re we really expecting something groundbreaking??? It’s cute.. AT BEST.

  25. Beysus September 29, 2014

Oh no Hun…. Just no…. It kinda reminds me of Crazy Stupid Love!!!

  26. Dem Lessors September 29, 2014

I feel like she’s going to have a Nelly Furtado decline, though at least she can rejoin BEP to rectify her career. She should’ve came harder. Hopefully the rest of the album is good. London Bridge wasn’t as big of a hit as Big Girls, Glamourous & Fergalicious, so there’s still hope. Beat was cute but flat at parts.

  27. Brian310 September 29, 2014

It’s OK nothing to really get me hyped for her album which is what 1st singles are supposed to do.

  28. Thlly September 29, 2014

    I ard… good dance track.
