New Song: Jessie J – ‘Burnin’ Up (ft. 2 Chainz)’

Published: Monday 22nd Sep 2014 by Sam

With recent single ‘Bang Bang’ still a staple on the charts, Brit belter Jessie J has today unwrapped its follow-up ‘Burnin’ Up’.

The 2 Chainz assisted number serves as the second official single be lifted from J’s third studio album ‘Sweet Talker’, which arrives on October 13th (and a day earlier in the UK).

Can the Pop powerhouse sustain her booming buzz? You be the judge below…

Deliciously infectious.

Indeed, while the track (which hits iTunes tomorrow) won’t change the world, it does pack a certain urgency and catchiness that’ll likely make it a fixture on radio. What’s more, sonically, it sounds like it’s a close cousin of ‘Bang Bang’; just as fun, but with its own personality.

We approve…do you?

Jessie J has a nice voice but I feel like she lacks the “it” factor that will take her far. The thing that keeps people interested even when you have no hits on the charts. 2Chainz was a bad choice as a rap feature. She needs new people all around

It doesn’t have that instant bite but this is good! Sn: slow creepers are often better for the charts. If she has a good video that’s dance heavy and chase it with awesome live performances she can blow this up. Although 2Chainz isn’t hot right now his sound goes well with this. She just needs to sell this and it will do fine. This will also do well in the dance world. I can see choreography vids galore….

I love the song, one note from Jessie can force Lana and Riherpes into early retirement.

      Lols in what lifetime?

Jessie’s vocals > Riherpes ‘vocals’ (or lack thereof)

Who is checking for flopsie J? She was the main one talking about “don’t lose who you are” but look at her now selling s** and making generic music. FLOP

I’m in love with this tune! Jessie is very underrated and her vocals are phenomenal. If you hear her high note in Bang Bang, you’ll know what I mean. She is the best live singer I’ve ever heard and her new album Sweet Talker is aimed for a more adult audience, rather than her previous child-friendly album, Alive. I hope so does well because she really deserves her moment to shine.

Can. she. stop. screaming? just stop screaming and sing the damn song. Her, xtina and jhud need to be forced to some kind of vocal correctional facility to learn how to f****** sing. All this caterwauling and hollering for no damn reason… *rubs temples*
