As earlier reported, Jennifer Lopez is making a beeline for Sin City.
The premium diva is believed to be close to finalizing a deal to take up a concert residency in Las Vegas and, according to fresh reports, her pay-packet is set to best that of Britney Spears.

Per TMZ:
Jennifer is being offered a whopping $350,000 per show at The Axis, Planet Hollywood … the same place Britney is performing.
Britney is making a paltry $310K a show.
But Britney will ultimately score more than JLo because her contract provides she’ll do 96 shows over 2 years. JLo will do 72 shows, 3 times a week for 24 weeks over a 1 or 2 year period — the contract leaves that open.
So, in the end, Britney is guaranteed $29,760,000 for the 2-year run. JLo will be guaranteed $26,383,326.
It’s all chump change compared to Celine Dion, who does 70 shows a year and gets $33,320,000.
One has to love Team J.Lo. They make the right power plays at the right time. They have clearly identified that the commercial charting era of her career isn’t what it once was, as such they’re channelling their efforts into cementing her legacy on the stage of all stages. And with Vegas having a history of hosting legends, La Lopez is – by taking up this gig – wisely placing herself in the same conversation.
Add to that the fact that the “half of the week for half of the year” setup will free her to still sign on for other gigs too and it fast appears she’s onto a winner with this venture.

Well B started the trend and Planet Hollywood wants to encourage more younger artists to join the roster as Britney increased Planet Hollywoods takings by $20,000,000 since the start of her run. Britney only does a couple shows a month, she was paid an upfront fee, plus her extending her stay will now give her $30 million. Sam and TMZ tried.

Wow. This should be amazing for her and her brand. I actually have seen Britney, Shania Twain, and Celine Dion all in Vegas and they all were amazing, so I’m hoping the same fate will follow JLO. I can’t wait to attend!

You’ll enjoy it. The stages were so cool. Especially that huge tree used during Toxic. The vocals aren’t live (unlike the Femme Fatale tour), but neither was majority of Celine Dion’s set. It was more awkward sitting there with Celine as she was just standing there using playback that I’ve heard before. It was more like song one I’ve heard the execrable vocals back in 09, song two I’ve heard the exact vocals back when she was on The View, and etc. Britney was more entertainment. I’ll probably go see Britney again in December or next year as well.

Great for JLo. She’s honestly one of the most skilled and hard-working performers out there, and doing Vegas is just the perfect way to show off her talent: dancing. Her music may still be trash, but among current performers, she’s the best dancer.
This is a good look for Jenny. She has the talent and fame to pull this off. Wendy Williams said on her show a few times that J-Lo should consider a residency show because she is a great performer and she has the hits to keep the audience entertained. She also says Mary J. Blige, Christina Aguilera, and Janet Jackson should also consider doing residency shows. She said the other day that Toni Braxton needs to make a return to the Vegas stage.
I am gonna see Britney and JLO will rock. I still think JLO can make a music comeback. SHE NEEDS NEW IDEAS AND SHE WILL ROCK. SHE CAN AT LEAST SELL 2 MILL FOR AN ALBUM AND HAVE TOURS OF 50 MILL PLUS.
