Rising above a sea of criticism this year is Iggy Azalea, the Australian rapper riding high on a singles-fuelled chart wave.

Though yet to prove she can move albums, Ms. Azalea proved she’s a force to be reckoned with on a singles tip this year, turning her nose up at any unable to match the success she enjoyed with the hit single ‘Fancy‘, produced by British production duo ‘The Arcade.’
For, thanks to this single she sits atop the following charts.
‘Top New Artists.’
‘R&B/ Hip Hop Streaming Songs.’
‘Hot Rap Songs.’
‘Hot Rap Songs Artists.’
Indeed, though her debut album’s sales failed to live up to her notoriety, her success on the ‘Hot 100’ saw her top more ‘Year-End’ charts that album-sellers Lana Del Rey, Nicki Minaj and One Direction, who topped the ‘Top Artists’ and ‘Top Artists/ Duo Group’ charts.
Iggy wasn’t the only act to soar on this year’s charts. Indeed, thanks to sales and streams garnered by their respective releases, Beyonce, Drake and Pharrell also made numerous appearances at the ‘Year-End’ party.
Random: Isn’t it interesting that the lesser known Lana moves more albums than the arguably “bigger” Iggy?
