With Danity Kane far behind her, Dawn Richard returns to solo territory with her forthcoming LP ‘Black Heart’, due out on the 15th of January 2015.
Today, she released the project’s official track list, naming which songs are set to appear on the release.

Calypso…. Lemonade same ish.. lol j/k. Hopefully it gets some attention. These Danity Kane girls don’t get business. you don’t have to like me to make money with me. People do it everyday…. smh. They could have made some moves with DK cause there solo material just isn’t as interesting as the groups body of work. But nonetheless Dawn has a fan base and people do check her out.. I wish her the best. Im just left cross eyed after that Danity Kane fiasco. They messed up allot of peoples time, and songs they could have given to artists who were serious about there business.. #REALTALK Their industry relationships had to have taken a blow, and the industry is a small circle.
I like Dawn but I agree with everything you’ve said. Without a label behind them and especially ALL members together they are destined to flop. Little Mix has a label pushing them, they have more exposure, they are younger and they can can barely sell 40K so I dont know why these girl deluding themselves thinking they are going to take over the word without the entire group. It’s like they learned nothing the first time.
Some of you all are one track minded, she is not in it for huge record sales, some people actually care about the art and putting out quality music that people who are supposed to get it are going to appreciate. Album sales are not guaranteed either way. You could have a hit single, major promo and still flop. If you’re not in it because you love what you’re doing and you love the art, you shouldn’t be doing it. Commercial success is just icing on the cake.

You’re wrong. Dawn recorded Blackheart before DK reunion this year. That is why I am personally not mad at her for doing her and releasing her music. I am definitely buying.
