Watch: Teyana Taylor Performs ‘Do Not Disturb’ Live In Ohio

Published: Monday 22nd Dec 2014 by David

Janet Jackson and Aaliyah may serve as references for many of today’s R&B hopefuls, but one would struggle to find any who honour the ladies quite as naturally as rising star Teyana Taylor does, undoubtedly a fan of both.

Currently on a mission to turn her ‘Instagram’ water into credible musical wine, the star released her debut studio album ‘VII‘ in the November of this year, seeing it open with an unfortunate 16,000 units.

However, we’d say it’s only a matter of time before the ‘Maybe‘ beauty kisses sales like “that” goodbye, set to soar to higher ground with live performances that showcase the talent she’s allowed many to sleep on far too long.

Peep her performance of the cut ‘Do Not Disturb‘ live at Ohio’s ‘Nati Christmas’ to find out what we mean, after the jump.

She actually said that Aaliyah and Janet Jackson inspired her and this album, so cool!
I really like her a lot but I would watch her Live videos and the only problem she has is where she’ll say “I’m on my Janet shįt” and I think that takes away the first impression experience by the fans. But her album is great and she truly has great potential.
Btw “Do Not Disturb” is a SMASH!! She better promote that single.

And I’m quite disappointed that Viacom bought BET now hopefully they’ll try to make a show for black artists to promote because let’s be honest, who else is giving new black artists a platform to promote today…?!?
