Quite interestingly, the cut is now selling at a faster rate than the ‘Top 40’ backed ‘Beg For It‘ by Iggy Azalea which reached sales of 503,390 units in the same week ‘Only‘ reached the 530,000 mark.
Elsewhere, the British chart-slayer that is Melissa Steel celebrates the success of her smash hit single ‘Kisses for Breakfast‘ this year.
For, as of January 2nd 2015, the cut’s official video has been watched for a total of 30 years, a digital milestone that follows the song’s Top Ten peak in the UK.
Since dropping six months ago, ‘Breakfast’s video has been viewed 5,593,624 times on YouTube alone, shared 11,027 times and driving 3,611 new subscribers to the singer’s official channel on the video sharing platform.
In other chart news, Idina Menzel‘s festive album ‘Holiday Wishes‘ reaches US sales of 370,000 units while global sales of Ariana Grande‘s ‘My Everything’ touches down at the 1,133,000 unit mark.
In R&B land, Beyonce’s self-titled new album crosses the 5 million barrier worldwide while Elijah Blake‘s second EP ‘Drift’ reaches US sales of 12,321 units.

Well she’s only been in the game as a solo artist for 10 yrs as well during which time she released 5albums & sold 140million records.
I don’t like Only, I think it is one of the worst songs Nicki has ever recorded, beg for it is most definitely better. But for Only, an urban single selling faster than a pop single, in this case, beg for it, is quite impressive. Overall, both women are making subpar music but kudos to them for making strides in the male dominated rap/hip hop genre.

As for Beyonce, there is no way in hell Beyonce went from 3.4 million to 5 million in a month. Maybe in shipments, but certainly not sales. Media traffic isn’t the most reliable but they are usually in the same ball park of 500k. The Official Charts is not a reliable source for worldwide sales. They have no jurisdiction or way to track worldwide sales, they’re exclusive to the UK just like how Billboard is to the US. There is a reason both rarely ever report worldwide sales.
Media traffic doesn’t account for 10% of album sales. Factor that in with shipments, & then you’ll get Beyonce’s album sales.. If she had about two major pop hits she could’ve sold even more. Sam Smith’ moved five million units rather quickly !! That’s awesome.. Beyonce’s album probably sold around about four million. But are they also including streams, the bundled set, & the Ep?
