Hot Shot: Lady GaGa Reunites With RedOne For New Album

Together they created history and now it appears Lady GaGa and producer RedOne are creating new chapters in the their narrative.

Presently hard at work on the follow-up to her 2013 solo LP ‘ARTPOP’, Mother Monster shared a shot of herself in the studio with Red – much to the joy of her fervent fanbase.

Despite crafting smashes such as ‘Bad Romance’, ‘Just Dance’, and ‘Poker Face’, the duo haven’t worked together since the song ‘Judas’ on GaGa’s mega-selling, yet so-so received ‘Born This Way’ album.

Can the pair re-create the magic that dominated the Pop landscape? We sure hope so!

It’s arguable that Red is to GaGa what Quincy Jones was to Michael (the coach with ability to bring out the best in their talent). As such, fingers crossed they can come up with something that is distinctly “GaGa” with a fresh, compelling twist.

We’re officially excited! Check out some of our favourite GaGa/RedOne moments below…

    Lady GaGa better serve!!

  4. Hahaha January 16, 2015

I won’t be satisfied until she releases a piano-rock album. Her unreleased stuff is great.

  5. I STAN(D) FOR TALENT January 16, 2015

Ugh…. NoOoo. 2015 is will be ruined. I want Gaga in 2016.

  6. MusicLife January 16, 2015

Her only saving grace for a semi successful potential comeback. She needed to do this come ‘Born This Way’ album

  7. Rihboy January 16, 2015

Idk why she strayed away from them in the first place. Kill the outlandish mess and just produce a human relatable set of songs!

    • musicMatters101 January 16, 2015

PRAISE this response LOL! She was an idiot to think ppl would like the past two albums worth of forgettable mess especially ARTPOP. Clash on ears! RedOne and Gaga were a duo of magic! Like KP & Dr. Luke.

  8. Stephy Jackson January 16, 2015

Great news. They made her biggest hits. Hopefully, some good addictive pop tracks can get her back on top.

  9. RileyXO January 16, 2015

    😀 Excited!

  10. JOHNVIDAL January 16, 2015

    RAW talent!

  11. CATFISH CAREY January 16, 2015

ISN’T SHE GOING TO SPACE THIS YEAR?

  12. Beysus January 16, 2015

Those songs became some of the most defining pop songs of all time! But you can’t just bring those 2009-10 times back like that. It won’t work… That’s how Artpop flopped…

    • Beysus January 16, 2015

I speak the truth and nothing but the truth…

    • S****** Blonde January 16, 2015

Defining pop songs of all time! Please they are the definition of generic, among their work only ‘Bad Romance’ will stand the test of time, and even that one fell short in comparison to Pop classics such as “Billie Jean”, ” Beat it”, “Like a Prayer”, “Vogue”, etc, etc, those are even more than defining Pop songs, they are among the most recognizable, celebrated, acclaimed and popular songs in music history.

      • Beysus January 16, 2015

Hun please Just Dance and Poker Face were HUGE!!! She had one of the best debut singles/albums ever! Until Born This Way was taken too far…

      • S****** Blonde January 16, 2015

That doesn’t mean the music was good, The Backstreet Boys were 10 times bigger but their music haven’t defined pop music, who plays ‘The Fame’ other than her fans, personally i think that’s her worst album, i’m not into generic music.

      • TheElusiveLamb January 16, 2015

S******, I think you’re being a bit harsh hun. Just like Madonna is iconic to you, Gaga is iconic to this generation. We can’t shade new talent, because let’s be honest, I know for a fact your parents call Madonna untalented and etc. It’s simply a generation gap.

      • S****** Blonde January 16, 2015

        @TheElusiveLamb
Thank God my parents are very into music and are very aware that talent comes in all forms, where do you think i heard the woman for the first time, certainly not in your parents house. Btw, i’m talking about Gaga’s music, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and many more are this generation icons, do their music changed Pop music, does it make it better, EXACTLY, that’s what i’m talking about, Gaga has talent but that doesn’t make half of her music any less better than this generation icons.

  13. Al January 16, 2015

Does anybody care really?! Who’s still checking for lady crusty NO ONE

  14. S****** Blonde January 16, 2015

    Good luck with that girl.

    • Stephy Jackson January 16, 2015

      Stop being mean to Gaga

      • S****** Blonde January 16, 2015

But i wish her luck, do i have to like her or her music?, you know, it’s not a necessity for me.

      • Al January 16, 2015

Leave Britney I mean gaga alone!

  15. Rihanna #1 fan t January 16, 2015

I like Lady Gaga I don’t understand how that last album flopped… !! She definitely made some great music

  16. TheElusiveLamb January 16, 2015

I like Artpop more Than I like Born This Way, but I’m here for it.

  17. J January 16, 2015

I honestly forgot about Redone. Hope that they can recreate some magic together and redefine music once again!

  18. Paulo January 16, 2015

great! most Little Monsters were glad to see the back of ReDone on ARTPOP but now that DJWS failed as her main producer… reality calls! I just hope they stay up to date. go innnn Gags

  19. CT January 16, 2015

About time she got back with him with him.. its time for the girls to get some super glue and extra wigs..

  20. CT January 16, 2015

Suicid blonde is beyond mad and scared he has commented more than anyone here he is feeling threatened and pressed. Nicki said it best “that is how I know the time is near..we become alive in the time of fear”.

    • S****** Blonde January 16, 2015

There is nothing to be mad, feel threatened or fear Gaga these days, you know it’s 2015 not 2009. She’s not in the position to cause such reactions on people. Thanks 4 the attention tho 😀

      • CT January 16, 2015

I smell the fear on you boo and when she slays again you will go into hiding or be dragged..

  21. beautifuldisaster89 January 16, 2015

Thank God because what they did with the fame was really good hopefully they have that same chemistry and he has more innovative material to dish out

  22. #1Lamb January 16, 2015

you know what? If they make quality music then I welcome it. There is enough room for all artist to do well as long as it is good music.

  23. LB January 16, 2015

I think it is too little too late at this point. She should have done this after Born This Way was evident of crap generic music. In fact she shouldn’t have parted ways with RedOne.

Let’s wait and see if this will salvage whatever strands of rope is left of her hanging career before she crashes and burns.

    • JOHNVIDAL January 16, 2015

Too bad everything Gaga has done after The Fame is better than The Fame, admitted by her biggest fan/hater @s****** blonde.
Of course that was the most commercial music she´s released so probably that´s why you like it most 🙂
During the Fame I didn´t even know she could SING and didn´t pay attention to her.
That said it was a huge debut, that could have ended being seen as a past era where an artist had much success and was cute (Gwen Stefani´s solo career), but thanks to her evolution and starting to be a real artist (what you don´t like) she became a real star and the artist she is today and we talk about in present and gives us one great performance after the other no matter where or which genre.

      • LB January 16, 2015

You’re kidding right? I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic because it is hard to detect sarcasm on the internet.

There’s nothing Gaga has done after The Fame/Fame Monster that is better than what she created on those two albums.

Born this way is trash and Artpop is even worse. I’m glad she is going back to what made her great to begin with.

Everything else sounded contrived, desperate, try-hard and arrogant.

      • Mark111 January 16, 2015

I actually like Fame Monster and Born This Way better than FAME, album wise. But during BTW, it was clear that sje had nothing to offer but dumb lil pop edm songs. On The Edge and You and I flopped, Judus was great, but wasn’t every successful. Basically the girl can’t do ballads or slow to mid tempo. Only a few people can do both, MC, Rihanna and a few more. I thought Art Pop was going to be her creating a sub genre or style or just naming the style she already had. But she tried to use art as an era theme and it was horrible.

    • Dem Lessers January 16, 2015

Agreed fully LB. The Fame Monster>The Fame>>>FlopThisWay=Chart Flop. Gaga just needs to let producers do their job and stop self glorificating her very standard work. As soon as she started Co-producing her music and doing all the melodies herself without no one’s input it just went downhill. She needs to go back to the old formula, if it wasn’t broken don’t fix it. It is too late now to reach the profile she had when Telephone was release but if she makes good music again I see the album first week sales staying around the 225k mark.

  24. Skyfall January 16, 2015

I feel like Born This Way was an amazing album, but nothing she has released will top The Fame Monster, that EP slayed my entire existance. The Fame was cute but i prefer Born This Way to The Fame Monster but overall.
The Fame Monster >> Born This Way >> The Fame >> Artpop

Her best song imo is Speechless

    • Dem Lessers January 16, 2015

Wow, people really think Born This Way was better than The Fame. BTW was just an album full of songs made to troll. I only liked Scheisse, Edge of Glory and the verses on Judas.

      • Dem Lessers January 16, 2015

        …and the verses on BTW.

  25. caribbean native January 16, 2015

So she tried to be overly creative and the public dont like it….seems like the piblic like the easy to make bubble gum music so she is going back….the general public is trash and dont appreiciate art anymore…..sidenote….#r8 looks like its coming out november sigh

    • LB January 16, 2015

That’s a good decision due to the soundtrack coming out in probably a couple of months.

      • caribbean native January 16, 2015

I need a buzz single at least tho…..

  26. Mark111 January 16, 2015

S****** is right, FAME is no different than LAMB and Baby One More Time. Sure they were huges hit, eras and sold well. But the albums did not stand the test of time like the other icons and legends he stated. Now Gags is pulling a Basic Instinct, trting to go back to what worked the first time around instead of moving forward.

    • LB January 16, 2015

There’s a difference though, The Fame/Fame Monster is Gaga’s only good album at this point.

Instead of pulling a Basic instinct, she should pull an In the Zone/Blackout

  27. AmbeRussell January 16, 2015

I understand why she stopped working with redone, he was becoming that IT producer and started recycling his beats and everything sounded the same and as an artist, u have to experiment a little bit to grow and see what works and what doesn’t. They work and she found that out the hard way. But that was half of the problem; she was too far left with the lyrics and themes of her music. She wants to be generic avaunt garde, which wasnt what ppl want to hear. Either u are abstract or u are generic, can’t be both. Then the way ARTPOP was put out there was bad promotion wise. Applauds isn’t a general public friendly song, but can we say none if her songs were really general public friendly but just happen to do well

    • CATFISH CAREY January 16, 2015

BAD PROMO IS NOT TO BLAME
THE ALBUM SUCKED PERIOD IT WAS PURE GARBAGE
HALF OF THE ALBUM CONTAINS FILLERS

  28. skyfall January 16, 2015

    @SuicideBlondie

I half way agree with you, however Justin B is nobodys icon but his delusional stans.

  29. Paulo January 16, 2015

The Fame her best album? what? I mean some of those songs are still cute but overall a whole Katy Perry level of basic. good for a debut album but any artist who released that kind of beats and simple arrangements as their second or third album would be dragged to hell and back.

weirdly enough, though, that era was what shaped her as a pop persona – the wacky girl who’s willing to discuss and debate fame and the pop cycle itself and etc.

as a fan I think she needs someone who pushes her to be more centered with her concepts. She always pushes herself into many different directions… someone needs to get her Aries behind together and focused. I think the Haus is filled with yes men atm but I’m not following her closely this era so I could be wrong.

  30. Slayty Perry ( Super Bowl Queen) January 16, 2015

RedOne is a one-trick pony. No one is here for more generic dated EDM tracks. Give it up Gags. The world has moved on.

    • LB January 16, 2015

There’s just so much irony in that statement

    • SCHEISSETHRONED(GRAPEJUICEKING) January 16, 2015

Coming from a Katy Stan? Generic? A Katy Stan talking generic?
PULLLLEEEAAAASSEEEE! I love how you bubble prismalicious weirdos can differentiate generic with other artists except your own. Wow.. just wow. For ONCE in Katy’s entire 6 year career she won against Gaga, after years of clapping while Gaga walked on stage to collect one of her many awards. Stop pretending you forgot what really being a Katy stan is like, because honey you’re about to remember.

  31. Erotica January 16, 2015

I am highly offended that this site has been over looking Christina. How is that everyone from MTV to Fuse to FDRMX and so forth are talking about her new sound being “Caviar Ratchet severed on 14k plates….” via Da Internz. further more the failed mention that she registered a new song called “Waves” which every website noted but this one like the supposed leak of her album tracks.
This site so dàmn biased its not even funny.

  32. MariahIsMusic1 January 16, 2015

I think she is talented but she should explore more of the DWUW sound, that song is magic tbh.

  33. SCHEISSETHRONED(GRAPEJUICEKING) January 16, 2015

    @S******

I cannot wait until the GRAMMYS so you can really see how done Madonna is. Photoshop can’t be used Live…

  34. Rosie January 16, 2015

Over 50 comments and there is literally only one F*** stan on this post but they stay running on whatever post to “”drag”” Madonna and you-know-who-else. Props to Scheisse for actually making an effort to, you know, stan.
Anyways, weren’t the Little Cutters celebrating when they found out ReDone wasn’t on ARTS&CRAFTS? No one is here for his outdated EDM beats anymore. He recycles more than Dr. Luke.

  35. @RealMattPhoenix January 17, 2015

Slutsie should find the seat next to lamas non exsitant relevance
    |
Anyway. I just need her to shout “red one” on a track again.
    |
She’s not hinting at what the next era will hold in terms of gimick and style ect, so i’m keen to see.
    |
What’s good to see is that a lot of the GP are craving some gagz again.
    |
Then again, after all the payola of basic perry, they must be starved for originality and talent
