After asking fans to contribute to the recording of their next and final album, TLC learned that they had raised $100,000 two days after doing so, now armed with the cash they need to begin work on the project.
Now, it has emerged that they have Katy to thank for a sizeable donation she made to their cause, handing the group’s members $5,000 when she learned of their plans.
Her generous donation comes after her latest album ‘Prism’ crossed sales of 3 million units worldwide, and before her hotly anticipated performance at this year’s Super Bowl.
