New Song: Fifth Harmony – ‘Like Mariah’

As fans inch closer to the February 3rd release date of their debut album ‘Reflection,’ the ladies of Fifth Harmony are playing approximately no games with enticing listeners with gems from the project.

After earning many-a-thumbs up for their Kid Ink-assisted tune ‘Worth It, 5H pay homage to R&B frontrunners Aaliyah and Mariah Carey with their new song ‘Like Mariah.’  Calling for help from rapper Tyga on the ‘Always Be My Baby’ sampled number, the song makes its way online just weeks before the quintet launch their ‘Reflection Tour’ (Feb. 27).

But, before you catch the fivesome on stage in a city near you, tuck in below to share your thoughts on ‘Like Mariah.’

It’s okay. Like Inspektah Dek once said, carry like Mariah.

  4. Theydidthathunny January 27, 2015

They did that!!! You a hater if you don’t like this. They can actually sing. Let’s enjoy and embrace this girl group now before they end up a memory of the past like the rest. I love 5H, very versatile and each girl could lead if they wanted. Unless like most but yeah you get the point. They are dope. Period

      So if I

They need to move away from the Kids Bop and towards something more edgy. In other words, they need better songs.

    • Theydidthathunny January 27, 2015

I do agree with you though. They need more grown woman tracks. Then again, they are getting there slowly. I appreciate how consist they are with there tracks. When they do the edgy ratchet hip music it will stop the world.

      • Yoncè January 27, 2015

These girls are 18& 19 I’m pretty sure mature music would come, this album compared to the EP when they was 15,16 is a big difference!

  6. KeKe January 27, 2015

So tgj stole another post from billboard lol they even used the exact same song link oh yeah keep forgetting they stan for Bey so stealing is what they have to do

    • Theydidthathunny January 27, 2015

Your so dumb lol who doesn’t steal news/gossip blogs now days? They have different ways of posting the same stories but to different audiences. Get it? Lighten up and write yourself a blog or two on this very same topic.

    • TRUTH SERUM January 27, 2015

  9. Terny January 27, 2015

With the sampling of ABMB that’s another check for MC also even though 5H are not my speed I applaud them for staying consistent in the ever changing music industry. More power to them.

L.A Reid is the Co- owner of EPIC which 5H are signed on!
“Sledgehammer” was written by Meghan Trainor- who’s on EPIC
and obvs Mariah & L.A Reid (Epic) link plays a part!

She is coming back to EPIC so this was to sweeten the deal with a 5H check!

Awe they must wanna flop attaching moo’s name to this

    • TheElusiveLamb January 27, 2015

Speaking of attaching names, why is Ciara attaching his Mom’s name to his upcoming fourth flop album?

  12. TheElusiveLamb January 27, 2015

Mariah’s influence is phenomenal (spanning near three decades now) and I’m just so happy that these five beautiful talented women decided to do this. 🙂 #MimiForever

  13. HYISI January 27, 2015

Trash and where did these stans for these flops come from? This song is stupid and they sound OK and that’s it. Only a teen would say if someone doesn’t like the song that they like, then they are haters. The song is stupid, and it’s only getting props for using Mariah’s name. Reflection will flop and we’look finally be done with these basics.

    • Theydidthathunny January 27, 2015

I don’t stan for them I’m just saying you little queens always quick to post something negative. I’m grown and I still think HAtERS like you is going to Hate. They ain’t nothing to do with me and you. That’s just the way it is. Lol only a teen would take their precious douching time to post negative. They getting props because they can sing, Not just ok but better than ppl they giving props to. So stfu and have several

  14. JOHNVIDAL January 27, 2015

They can´t sing and their music is wack, but hey, Mariah is Queen and their tribute is cute.

  15. Meteorite January 27, 2015

No offense but they truly sound terrible. Whoever said Kids Bop was spot on. And the fact that Simon put his name to this makes me wonder…

    • Terny January 27, 2015

      & Simon’s opinion >>>>>>>>>>>>>> all o urs.. It’s the only 1 that matters.

      • Meteorite January 28, 2015

If you intend to be thrash towards me, at least be grammatically correct.

  16. I Am…For Beyonce January 27, 2015

Hey sam,any new posts about The Queen Bey…these flops gave my computer screen A*** #yawn

  17. Theman January 27, 2015

Mariah >>>>>>> Her Influence >>>>>>>>>>…….. It’s a nice lil song!!!!

  18. Everyone’s A Critic January 27, 2015

They could’ve done so much more with this same but it’s cute. Reminds me of Ready Or Not – Bridgit Mendler

  19. Trina Rozera January 27, 2015

Love the idea of this and they sound great just not a fan of how the sample was worked into the drum beat, i think it could’ve been even better if produced a bit differently but still cute

  20. Junior in Jamaica January 27, 2015

Seriously that squeaky Camilla needs to go. Her vocals ANNOY my life! OMG!

  21. R January 28, 2015

If anyone’s even close to singing like Mariah in this group it’s Dinah…so why did she get two solo lines again?

    • Mjz January 28, 2015

For real….I’ll still support them though:/

  22. Michael January 28, 2015

Leave Camilla alone! She’s the prettiest and has the most interesting voice!
