I was watching so proud of Rita watching her . Bring on that new single & album . It was a nice introduction to the masses for her .
I’ll give her credit. She did good. She seemed breathy/pitchy in the first verse and her voice cracked, but overall good performance. I think the song is extremely mediocre to be penned by THE Diane Warren, but good for her. Not too many can brag about performing on the Academy Awards stage.

The song is pretty mediocre but I loved the crack, I thought it gave the song character. Overall she did have one thing some big divas who can supposedly sing are missing, soul.

She gave this mediocre song some soul, not many artists can do that with even a soulful song. I give her extra credit for that.

So I trashed it today but out of curiosity, I clicked on Del Bey’s blog and I have to say I am mighty impressed.

The design is impressive, the template is clean and the writing is fantastic. It is a very clean and easy to navigate blog.

My only concerns are,

1. Del Bey needs a unique domain name, what I mean is remove the “dot wordpress” part from the url.
2. I am not certain Del Bey is unbiased enough to run it but time will tell.

I did visit it. I like her blog, but she is going to have purchase her domain; I also have to make sure she’s unbiased before I start commenting all the time. I’m all for girl power and supporting dreams, so she gets no shade from me.
But I would laugh myself out of my body if that blog became the new big thing and knocked shady TGJ off the map. You get in what you put out, so…
Bad vocal performance. She can do better. She has.
A pitchy mess. Completely underwhelming seeing that she stood frozen the entire time. Did you guys see New York post tweet saying blonde rihanna looks good at the oscars. The shade was immensely funny. She is such a shadow it’s sad. Her and Ciara just need to become good friends and do a tv show or something. They wasting time and money if you ask me.

When i heard that this song was nominated i went to listen and said that this must be payola because the song was really generic and basic.
The preformance was a bit reality Tv, pitchy and lacking emotion.

I gotta be honest, she has really grown on me since the voice, she’s a lovely girl and i’m glad that she was able to show off that she can really sing on The Oscars, she did a great job and its a brilliant achievement for a young British girl
I thought it was kinda embarassing how it started with the backtrack (which isn’t even cool or acceptable for the Oscars imo) overpowering her but she did very good at the end. after seeing loads of performances where she is just hyping the crowd instead of singing I didn’t think she had it in her. good job Rita!

No one will be talking about her because this performance sucked, her voice was cracking all over the place, the song is boring and no one knows who she is. Her team needs to try (well, try harder) to get her a US hit, you can do all the tricks in the world, but if your music is dead, all of this means nothing. Ask that pussycatt doll.
