After the under-performance of 2013’s ‘Yeezus,’ Kanye West is taking no chances with new album ‘So Help Me God.’

Already supported by a slew of preceding singles as well a series of live shows, it has now been confirmed that the project will receive a platform at one of the most renown festivals in the world – Glastonbury.

Details below…

The news was revealed by organiser of the UK event Emily Eavis, who tweeted:

Greeted by a markedly mixed set of responses, West has a tall order ahead of him filling the shoes of previous headliners Beyonce and The Rolling Stones. Still, if there’s anyone who can silence the naysayers, it’s Yeezy.

The 2015 Glastonbury Festival takes place Friday June 26th- Sunday June 28th, with the rapper topping the bill on the Saturday (June 27th).

    I predicted this and said this would happen in your comments when FourFiveSeconds was released, i remember blatantly saying that Rihanna and Kanye were using towards live music and mark my words Rih or Kanyew would headline Glasto or wireless this summer, good for him! Don’t be surprised when Rihanna headlines next year!

    Congrats ‘Ye! I think he always puts together a very well-thought-out show. It would be great to see it all live, but I know I’ll catch him elsewhere soon enough. I wish him the best of luck with it!

    He’s an awful performer, he can’t even rap live, Glastonbury is not the same anymore, all these mainstream artists are ruining these music festivals, now you find Pop fans at Coachella doing what?…..AWFUL.

      Aww, Fat White boy is upset. Just like everything in this world, it’s all about bring in the money and your little (and I do mean little) bands (that was last in style in the early 2000’s) aren’t bringing in the people. Rock is dead, throw dirt on it and let it rest. 🙂

        @Mark111
        Only Pop/R&B fans care about care about who’s successful, success is relative. These music festivals never flopped because of those little bands, neither now that they’re opening the doors to mainstream acts, the thing is that 95% of their attendance are still Rockers, they don’t need famous people, they are ruining the atmosphere, you cannot imagine how many people wanted to throw stones to Beyoncé when she appeared on stage with her sister, wrong or not, they are out of place, like a jew in Germany in the 1940’s. Btw, i’ve always been skinny, just so you know, don’t call names when you haven’t even seen their faces.

      Although I hate people talking about how “festivalz r ruineD!!1” and etc. I kinda agree with you. The pop crowds ruined the North American fests. All they want to do is take drugs and brag about being there on Instagram. Last year’s Lollapalooza and Coachella especially were the perfect examples. It’s super annoying and it’s the reason I’m not going to any of the new fests they’re bringing to Toronto this year (except maybe Bestival).

        @Rosie
        Thank you, that’s exactly what i mean, they hate the music but think is cool to dress like us, be there etc…

    im hear to gather the delusional stans, I saw them fighting aboit what’s a timeless clasaic and what’s not:
    .
    Britney, Rihanna, Usher , Ciara, Beyoncé, Xtina, Gaga, P!nk, Taylor, fistopher, Kanye, timberlake, Mjb, adele , amy WINEhouse, etc they don’t have timeless classics!

      Shut up, it’s all subjective. Even the songs you named aren’t timeless, Say My Name? Hooker leave this room. Dead Boy up there can list 5 timeless songs and chances are I wouldn’t know them. I can name 5 timeless songs and it’s be the same. Stop using words like timeless, legendary and so on. Cause at the end of the day, most (and I mean about 98%) of the artist out now won’t be around the next 5 years. Even the GREATS had their day and are nowhere to be found today.

      I actually agree with most of your comment.
