Two of music’s most gifted talents, Sam Smith and John Legend, have joined forces for an awesome cause.

Moments ago, a new Legend assisted version of ‘Lay Me Down’ – from Smith’s debut album ‘In The Lonely Hour’ – was released as the official Red Nose Day single in the UK.

Hosted every two years, the major fundraiser launches a nationwide drive for donations to help end poverty in Africa and picks a song to assist its cause. With all revenue from the single’s sales  going towards the campaign (which also raises money with sales of small red “noses”), the chosen track is often at the receiving end of major exposure. Put simply, it’s a great look for all involved.

Watch the video below…

‘Lay Me Down (ft. John Legend)’ is out now worldwide.

Red Nose Day UK 2015 is on March 13th.

OMG, kwabs voice is sooo much better than Sam smith, he sings circles around this wide load. Sam and john together is like elevator music.

Two of my vocal inspirations! SAMs music is incredible simple and therefore very intimate and relatable. An amazing collaboration. John never fails once he’s at his piano boy!
And they’re both yu’my if I say so myself

Sorry but this is awful I can careless for john legend on this duet. Sam straight kills him in vocals. Doesn’t blend very well. Sam smith didn’t need this cause the song already slayed with smith vocals.
