It’s here!

Alexandra Burke has unleashed her new EP ‘Renegade,’ as well as the video for the title track.

The set serves as the follow-up to 2013’s free offering ‘New Rules’ and is the first solo visual from the ‘X Factor’ winner in three years.

According to Burke, the project represents a rebirth of sorts and sees her take control, steering her sound towards grittier ground.

She has grown so much. This change is incredible! Ain’t That Right, Hall Of Fame, Go Down <— FLAWLESS.

I love Alexandra but I’m not feeling this new direction. It just feels very forced, especially with the cursing.

Cause u know what she’s like behind the scene? :/

She come like a child using curse words for the first time. She has already set an image for herself and that’s an annoying chatterbox with bubblegum pop songs like Bad Boys and Don’t let me start without you!
She should just stick to theatre and let the real British pioneers wave the flag for UK music.
Ella Eyre, Sam Smith (Bae) to name my favourites at the moment

Oh dear.. I can never take her seriously. But if this is truly ‘Her’ and the sound she wants. Do you boo!
Don’t expect chart glory or any form of a comeback though.

It’s just a gift for her fans. It’s free too. It wont chart obviusly. But yes, this is something that allows her to be herself and that’s amazing.

Maybe I’m just being a critic.. Oh right. I AM the Critic. I believe this is some contrived BS! It sounds cheap and feels like a desperate attempt to reinvent herself into something ‘cool’. Her talent is undeniable and she looks great (for a change) but the sound don’t match the face still. It doesn’t look or sound genuine. She’s a wanderer. YEARS have gone by and my girl still hasn’t found a sound. She’s not a renegade. She’s a lost cause

        A rebel with NO cause

Ain’t That Right should have been the lead single! Could have done with more catchier lyrics in some songs but, with tweaks and showcasing more vocals, I feel the direction for her. Her voice suits this style!

Ain’t That Right is the best track she’s recorded since Overcome era!!!!!I’m not 100% sold on this new image it comes across a little forced and cringey but the song’s are OK.

Why hasn’t any label signed her, Simon has to is hands far up on direction, Ono they will all be going different directions and he’ll be on to his next project. He’s such a bitter queen. Great job Alex, carry on giving your fans music, you have already achieved so much.

I don’t know much of her music. But this Renegade track…I’m lovin it!
