The fighting words came while on the set of new video ‘Rebel,’ her first offering for boyfriend Lil Wayne’s label.
According to the ‘Dip It Low’ singer,’ the single will feature on a 5-track EP – due later this year.

At 33 and after so long in the game, we have to give it to Ms. Milian for her persistence. We’re not at all sold on the potential of the song, but we are here for her grind. For the love of all things good, we hope it materialises in an actual album down the line.

I feel the same about Milian as I do about Alexis Jordan, Wynter Gordon, and Ashanti — you can’t lose momentum. Once you have ‘your moment’ in the industry (hot song / scandal / a buzz) you have to run with it like you stole something and milk it for all it’s worth.
Dip it Low = ‘her moment’. Love Don’t Cost a Thing was cool, but the subsequent television movies, babydaddy chasing, and crappily produced / handled songs were not a good look.
Kim Kardashian gets props from me for running with that sextape (despite what that says about culture and society in general). Rihanna ran with the CB incident until her name was out in the stratosphere. Even with the Spice Girls; Victoria Beckham made the right moves (married a top footballer, switched up her look, diversified her brand) and built an independent empire, whereas Mel B got knocked up by Eddie Murphy and is hosting talent shows. Nahhhh.
As soon as your moment passes, if you failed to capitalize on it you’ll never come up again. Even more so if you weren’t that big to begin with.

She’s beautiful, but I do not see it for her. There are some people I think that will go far with a push but Christina M is not one of them. Her time has past. No matter how many times she repackage herself her music career is over. She should try acting and getting herself of the big screen again.

She always has been, she was dropped by Def Jam simply because Jay Z had taken over the label and bought in his own artist, no many was put behind her 3rd album even though SAY I was a number 1 hit in the UK.
After her husband cheated on her she chose to take time out and raise her daughter, why on earth does this make her a professional hoochie? She has been on her grind ever since, making all her own money, with a clothing label, a wine brand, a sheesh brand, acting and featuring on songs. Music has changed since the last time she was out so she decided to experiment and try something new, give her a break, I Love Rebel, although i agree with Sam that Zipper is a no.1 banging song, I think she deserves some respect and it’s people like her who do s*** for themselves that will be the last one standing!
