Flo Rida protégé Natalie La Rose is on a role.

Fresh from making her televised debut earlier today, the starlet made her second appearance on the same day – taking to the stage on ‘The Late Late Show With James Corden’ to perform her Billboard smash ‘Somebody.’

Currently sitting at #10 on the Hot 100, the song looks set to rise even higher if she keeps serving up showings like this…

Peep the performance after the jump…

Very commendable for an act who’s essentially fresh out of the gate. She oozed confidence and played up her best traits (i.e. choreography). We envision she’ll only grow better with time, which makes us excited for what’s to come.

This b**** is wack as f*** for real. If she actually becomes a thing and not Tinashe, y’all some evil mothafuckas.

I bet cassie is seething. Honestly, I feel like she would’ve pulled this song off better.

How does Natalie’s success take away from Tinashe at all? Some of you Tinashe stans are too bitter. The girl doesn’t have career yet for yall to be so bitter.

      • Toohotfortv April 23, 2015

        Huh? Who mentioned tinashe?

Most of the new girls look and sound the same. I miss the days where singers had distinctive tones!!!

whitney is probably rolling in her grave! what is this travesty, she’s not cute, she can’t sing(backtrack plays throughout entire song) and she can barely dance

I sincerely don’t get the crabs in the bucket styled argument that Natalie La Rose’s success takes away from what Tinashe is doing. There’s plenty of room for more than one new successful black female artist. Congratulations are definitely in order for Natalie because she is bringing it on a performance front. Very few can boast of debut television performances as good as these.

    Sorry, I couldn’t get past ‘on a ROLE’ lmao…

well that was a nice performance for a newbie…but i gotta see what else she got to offer cause this song really isn’t my cup of tea but kudos to her getting to live her dream.

The song is catchy. She has a lot of potential. I’ll take her for now.

This performance was better than the Ellen one and her attire was more appealing here. Still not really a fan of the song and her performance style; in other words I am “numb” and I don’t feel anything from this performance.

It’s funny how some well known #SissySquad clingers are riding off of this girl when one she doesn’t even have a body of work in music and enough performances to be already a STAN for her. Lol hehe. Proof y’all are quite inspired by MW to find the new girl that can compete with TinaSlay in the huge potential department. Good luck 😀

80% of nowadays new releases are trash. These girls can´t sing and the songs are so basic despite the use of samples of great songs.
At least this girl seems to have confidence though.

I love how yall over analyze her talent and potential based off her first two performances of one song. You don’t even know the type of artist she is. Just wait to see what she has in store. Natalie did her thing and she is comfortable on the stage like a seasoned vet. She can clearly sing, yall don’t know what playback is. I’m glad her promo campaign is kicking off, take Somebody to #1!

The news wave of untalented pop tarts do not have staying power. They get the hits, then fade away like Iggy. You see how Iggy can not tour because she has no fanbase.

I like underground Tinashe but her new label made her into another disposable pop tart whens she is way better than that.

I like this chick. She’s bringing something new to the table and that’s what the industry needs. DIVERSITY. It’s okay for new artists to get their shine and credibility. I don’t see how she can’t set the bar for herself as an artist and entertainer. People need to stop tearing down and just support these artists. Natalie La Rose gives me a young version of Selena/Jennifer Lopez because at first I thought she was Hispanic because of her name but she’s Dutch and she’s from Amsterdam. I think she’s capable of making good music. The song is a nice summer jam r&b/pop record. I need to hear more from her because I’m intrigued by her personality and she’s definitely making a lane of her own. Her performances have been good so far.

She uses a heavy backing track. Based on the tone of her voice she can’t sing live at all…

Plus her call outs during performance suck!

  16. @FutureCIARA April 23, 2015

Nice Job, She’s so young and fresh, I love that new artist spark…. She has lots of work to do, neither of these TV performances grabbed me. I like the song though, and will wait to see what else she brings to the table.

  17. @FutureCIARA April 23, 2015

Furthermore…. why are Tinashe stans so bothered? Are people NOT allowed to like more than one new artist?

Find some chill and get your favz singles to chart before catching salt feelings…..

    • 4everBrandy_Ci April 24, 2015

It’s that particular stan sis!!!!! I love Tinashe and she’s a talented artist. It’s okay to like more than one artist!!!!! I wish people would stop getting into their feelings and support these artist because that “stan” mentality is f****** stupid.

  18. You wanna love it right better then my money April 24, 2015

    Nice performance
