Ciara‘s new album ‘Jackie’ is being brought to the stage live this Sunday when the singer’s aptly titled ‘Jackie Tour’ kicks off in Chicago.
Set to run the course of this month, the trek will be previewed for the masses next week. Why? Because the ‘I Bet’ belter is heading to two major shows in support of her sixth studio effort.

Per the diva’s label Epic Records, she will celebrate the release of ‘Jackie’ on the TODAY Show on Tuesday May 5th, where she will be giving a special performance:
Thereafter, Super Ci will be visiting the ladies of The View on May 6th.

Has anyone noticed that “Jackie” is listed under “Pop” and not “R&B” . Her last album and Only that was considered “Pop” was “Fantasy Ride”. I’m here for the music but there’s less R&B songs this go around which alienates her fans in the genre which may not like the in your face Pop jams . I like the sounds but nervous people may get confused again . I don’t understand

No , I’m talking about Goodies Vibe R&B, her niche . Not remanufactured sounds that was “Ciara” . Not Dance Club Heavy-Infused-R&B “Basic Instinct” and definitely not Techno-Snyth-Pop “Fantasy Ride” . Ciara had a groove and lost it ( in my opinion she ditched it to try and become a Pop force) . Pop is not her Sound , her sound is Gritty-R&B with a Sun kissed Pop Melody . No , people buy R&B , R&B fans just don’t buy B******* . Which she has been trying to sell us the past few years , why not start the album off with Any of the Pop songs on the album don’t make an Album full of Pop songs and for the lead single, make it R&B then not have anything that remotely caters to her core R&B fans . And I’m not talking about the Pop&B songs either , (Jackie(B.M.F.) . Only reason I say this is because Ciara has a buzz right now in here R&B fan area , like they been a fan or was a fan and they are happy to hear R&B but when those people go and buy this album what will they have that caters to them . With Ciara it’s always been balance its either too Pop or it’s Too much Dance-R&B-trap songs that seems like she trying to bring back Goodies sounds . Wish her the best tho

My wig is intact. I heard the album and I’m not at all impressed. Honestly, do you feel like this album is better than self titled Ciara? If you do your more delusional than I thought. It’s not a different sound. It’s the same ghetto pop thing she has tried to birth for era upon era. She needs more promise or never ever type songs. This clear and blatant want to cross genres isn’t for her. She doesn’t have that ability sadly. No rehab remixes can fix that.

It technically didnt leak it was officially released in germany 2 days ago so its technically out just not in the US. but the fact that her team kept this album locked up until it was released overseas>>> the only songs that were leaked were kiss & tell (which was down in less than an hour) and bmf (which was only 2 minutes and not the whole song) so well job epic and ciara.

Not all albums get released that way, and it would have made more sense to focus on a US release and then try and schedule the international release date a week later. The point is she is going to make more money off of a US release than anywhere else so that should have taken priority. @Rihboy is right tho, these excuses are lame af and as @Ben stated some of the songs off of the album were leaked prior to the release in Germany (making my statement partially true). We’ll see how it goes next week.

I don’t mind any artist going the pop lane as long as it makes sense and it comes off authentic. With album sales suffering I don’t see any big numbers for the first week but as long as Ciara can go the distance and stay on track I think she will do fine in the long run.
